Yes most cops in Amsterdam are pretty cool, but it also helps a lot if you know that most people won' t have a gun.
But I do think police in the Netherlands are trained to focus more on diffusing a situation and they often use a smile and normal conversation for that.

S you pull things out some of the mud is lifted and washed away, revealing deeper older objects as you said. When you leave the river puts the mud back for you. So the longer you can hit it in one session and the more people throwing the better off you are.
Do they ever clean the canals of Amsterdam? I went there once and I loved everything about the place, the people, the cafes, the houses, the pubs, but the water was a bit whiffy, lol 😂!
They have a big boat with a large grappling arm or whatever it's called that drives through the canals and picks stuff out of there. Whenever the arm comes up, there's at least 1 bike in the claws. People put so much stuff in there, it's terrible. Eg. it's kinda like "normal" that when you drunkenly steal a bike and ride home you go and throw it into the canal at the end. At least that's what my friends who lived in Amsterdam told me.
The entire canal system is flushed every week. It changes the water but not the junk folk throw in it.

Love this hunt Leight! Found some good stuff there mate! Hey Leigh, there is a handy app you can get for your phone, both on iPhone and Android called Coin-O-scope. If you don't know what coin you have, you can use the app to take a pic and it scour the internet and throw up results of what the coin could be. The better condition the coin, the better the results. One app every treasure hunter should have on their smart phone.

Last time I was in AMS I sat at a pub and watched a barge with a crane clean the canal. Barge was full of mud covered bikes and scooters.
