- This Should Have Never Been Found Magnet Fishing!! (Police Speechless) Today my buddy and I went magnet fishing in the Chicago metro area and found something that should have never been found while magnet fishing. Also while we were magnet fishing we found stolen Items and something that could have really killed someone. Even the police were speechless after they saw what we found in the river while magnet fishing. If you really enjoyed these type of magnet fishing video please leave a thumbs up and thank you for watching!! #magnetfishing #police #rivertreasurehunting

Awesome video bro!
Thanks buddy
You should come try the Bridges on the Mackinaw and the spoon river and sanchris
Man, this has to be the coolest, biggest cop I’ve ever seen. Damn, I wish they were all like you man❤
@@outdoorinfluencer Try the Cal Sag fishing area under the bridge on I-57 and 135th street.
Bad things happen there at night. it used to be a hangout back in the 80s.
Very secluded.
@@outdoorinfluencer i done some magnet fishing reasonly here only found bb gun hidden in behind weeds and rock
Not all cops are terrible wish there were more Officers like this one.
Agree
This is how most of them are, people just usually only deal with them when something is wrong hence you are having a bad day, now imagine dealing all day with people who are having a bad day. That's gotta get you kinda jaded. Suddenly your car being broken into won't seem so bad when half your week is dealing with kids who have been shot or people actively trying to fight you.
Wrong
Yeah. A cop should be listening to music all day with his air pods on.
Not all of them but at least 95% of them. 😂 they're facking lost in their own world.
95% useless.
I don't understand why people don't like this. You're cleaning up waterways, helping solve crime, and making cool content. I also love that you take garbage that isn't magnetic as well. Keep up the good work.
Wouldn’t doubt cops throw stuff in there thinking it will never be found and these kids are pulling up the evidence
While yes getting stuff like this will definitely help a family or law enforcement find out who is connected with the firearms it still is a hazard when it comes out of the river and therefore its a danger to not only the people who fish it out but other locals as well because guns do have a tendency to go off and discharge a round similarly magnet fishers have pulled bombs and mortars out of the river and the drastic temperature change can cause it to react and explode so in this case its wrong execution for the right reasons
Snitch ass people leave people dirt work in the business
Some people just hate it when people do good.
Obviously because some people don't know how to do the right???
This cop is right not only are you cleaning up the lakes and rivers but there's a chance you could solve crimes
Can this officer be any cooler? He for real respects and appreciate what you do. I love it.
He could have not demanded for “somebody’s information.” Everything he needed was on that business card.
@@jackjohnson291 He means an actual ID. The card could say Jeffrey O'Fuckleberry
Jimreb80 well said my man 😊
@@jackjohnson291 an ID with legal info. Anyone can make up a business card with what ever info. I get your point though.
@@Teeveepicksures How dare he want to make sure that the people are who they say they are. People never ever lie.
That cop is one of the good ones for sure. So respectful and understanding. great WW1 Springfield find BTW.
Thanks for watching the video
Definitely a Springfield probably 30-06
The one rifle is a swiss Vetterli
Most of them are but you'll find awful people no matter what career it is, no public oath or status symbol will change that.
@@serronserron1320 From my experience its been about 50/50. I feel like the average patrol officer is decent...and the higher you go, the worse it gets.
All officers should appreciate what you do honestly you don't HAVE to call anyone you're choosing to do the right thing...respect 👍
Indeed, likely that rifle could have been cleaned up and made usable again.
@@serronserron1320 I'm not sure if you can just use a gun you found without a registration. And the gun is likely there for a long time, hence its likely really rusty and may break on the first shot.
Finally a cop that will try to do what’s right! Even though he didn’t really know what to do, he took responsibility for it. Another good find!
At the 8:10 mark, that police officer was a refreshing change. He was very pleasant and friendly. I hope he never gets jaded and surly like soo many bad cops act towards you guys.
T R U T H !!!
That officer is fantastic. He's so friendly. It's nice to see.
Yea very nice
It's ashame our rivers, parks, oceans etc... are used as dumping grounds for trash. Thankyou so much guys for helping clean the environment. Every little piece removed counts. 🙏❤️🇦🇺
T R U T H !!!
A Decent Cop.
Awesome job guys! Thumbs up to the police officer as well. He was a professional. So cool!
That is hands down one of the closest police officers I've seen handle a situation more professional than any of the others I've watched in the past ,
Yall be safe and have fun in life
Some magnetic rocks are meteorite’s ,Could be valuable. Worth taking a look.
I was thinking the same.
I know the Park Forest/Chicago Heights area actually had a lot of meteor activity a few years ago. I would not be surprised at all of this was part of that.
Meteorites definitely are valuable, and worth researching.
What a down to earth Police officer, we need more people like him.
This cop is such an awesome dude
Nice cop we need more like him. God bless him cool guy
What a really nice and friendly Police Officer! Wouldn't it be cool if they were all like him!
Thanks for watching
I'm surprised the police officer didn't as to see their fishing licenses. 🤣
Actually a pretty decent cop. That's rare in Illinois.
This police officer is amazing!
You should consider sewing depth markers onto your lines. Colored yarn would let you know how deep your hitting.
Dis officer is so understanding & professional with a pure heart u can tell I hope he get raise & a Lotta cops can learn from him & he so intune with the positive work people are doin💯💯💯💯💯
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the police officer in this video. The man is really chill and laid back. THIS is what a cop should be.
The rifle is a Swiss Vetterli-Vitale bolt-action rifle with tubular under-barrel magazine. Pre-1900, and chambered for a modest .44 caliber cartridge. Sold in some numbers by Bannerman after WWI, it was a mildly popular deer rifle. Probably ditched when ammo became unavailable.
Thank you guys for picking up the trash you guys are awesome.
This cop is cool AF!
Cops seem to get annoyed for calls about found guns, yet they'll come running eagerly to calls about people filming in public smh
I'm betting they get annoyed because, 1: paperwork, 2: they know the trunk of their car will be stinking for days even after cleaning all the river gunk out of it.
Truth
Great video, loved the interaction with the officer. He seemed taken back by what was going on. I can't figure out why certain cops would be upset by what you're doing. Like officer Simmons, you should be praised for the work you're doing.
Thank you for cleaning up the trash!!!! Love watching you guys
Thanks for watching us means a lot
Excellent job y’all, if all the police were like the last few y’all had interactions with it would be awesome, thank you for sharing Jeff and Dani.
Usually it depends on what context you are dealing with them. Every time I had to call the police working at a motel they were chill with me.
Very KOOL officer , we need a WHOLE bunch more like him , for sure !!! ✔️👍👌😁
The rifle you pulled out looked like a bolt action Springfield. Used in WW1, and used as a drill rifle for Navy boot camp. Darn thing is heavy and would inflict some sore muscles walking penalty and drilling with them. That's my guess, good job, guys.
Is not an '03 Springfield. Appears to be a foreign bolt action military rifle from WWII or before.
Lee Enfield; British WW1&2.
Or possibly the German khar98.
Mosin nagant.
Looked alot like a Mosin to me
Thats one cool cop. Love to see the curiosity and intellect. A real dude. Has the internet figured out how to buy a guy a beer yet?
I knew you guys cleaned metal out of water ways, but seeing you pick up the trash on the banks is awesome! I carry many grocery bags when I go fishing and pick up loads of trash. Awesome job you do. 👍🏻
When you meet those Cops who are good human beings... We feel it too. We always give a Cheer of "Right On !!!"
Wow. That officer was awesome!!!
The rifle is a Swiss Vetterli from 1880’s.
Good eye, I was leaning that way too.
That cop was AWESOME !! 👏👏👏🥰🥰🥰
Awesome cop! Glad you guys turn that stuff in. You could help solve a crime!
Kudos to officer Simmons for being such a cool dude.
Yes, the fact that there are a lot of positive comments about the officer rather shows us that his approach to be the exception and not the rule. Good on him. Well done to all for helping to clean up the environment. 👌
It is a Swiss Vetterli rifle. The bolt action and feed gate (oval hole under the bolt) for the cartridges give it away. I love mystery gun magnet fishing videos.
Well done boys. Hurting no-one & cleaning up rivers of stuff that shouldn't be in there. Keep it up.
Coolest cop yet. Good vid Jeff.
Lol imagine hearing about a shooting and thinking that's a good time to go magnet fishing. Somebody just got rid of some evidence LOL
Why does the officer need THEIR information? These guys are doing some awesome stuff. They deserve a thank you.
In my town, most of the Law Enforcement are nice, I know the dude in charge of the detective division, and the SWAT team, he's really nice
In my experience police officers are pretty great people, but this guy's awesome.
That's where the saying started..."lost all my guns in a boating accident"
The cops are going to have to open up a whole different division to handle stuff found magnet fishing.
That cop was the best!
That officer was just so nice and down to earth!
Officer Simmons is for real💖 And now they're trying to tell you that you need a permit on the water, wtf??? Great video Jeff💖
Thanks Mona for watching today
@@outdoorinfluencer Autocorrect strikes again!
This is exactly the type of law enforcement officers that we need in our lives
That bolt action looks like it had a loading gate snd tube magazine.
That might be a rimfire Swiss military rifle.
Vetterli black powder rifles were a series of Swiss army service rifles in use from 1869 to 1889.
Might have been stolen and hucked because its of no use to criminals (ammo is rare)
When you guys pull up rocks sticking to your magnets you should check them for meteorites - usually the only magnetic kind of rock
I grew up where these guys are magnet fishing there's steel plants all around there it's probably some slag with enough iron content to stick to a magnet
Hematite or lodestone is also more likely than meteorite
I'll take the magnetic rocks! I'm a geologist! Live in Kentucky.
Probably just slag, there is a steel mil like 1k feet from that spillway that has been there for like 50+ years.
The world needs more cops like this guy
What a cool cop
There is how LE should act. Kudos Officer cause I know you will watch this video!
Fantastic finds Jeff. I'm wondering if there are more rifles in that area. It seems there is alot of them in that spot. The officer was great with Dani. It's nice to see when officers are pleasant to deal with. 😀 There needs to be more officers with positive attitudes. Have a great day my friend ❤😊.
Wonderful to see a black police officer. Nice smile. Nice guy.
that gun I believe is a Swiss Vetterli made in the late 1800 probably someone collects that got stolen. But good find
yup that's exactly what i was thinking. nice and cheap rifles too
That was a really great officer of the law. He was nothing like the stereotypical cop that gets portrayed online. In my opinion he is in the top 1/2% of officers on duty.
Great find and a very nice officer which is always nice to see great video thank you
Thank you Maz 👍
@@outdoorinfluencer your welcome
The unknown heavy circle you found is a porthole front a boat or ship of some sort. It's just missing the glass
That was sooo cool. That officer was badass.
Great video guys, surprised you didn't find more guns, parts of Chicago Heights is rough, it was a lot nicer when the Chicago Outfit was around, they had a big presence there dating back to Al Capone.. You guys are great doing what you do and the police officer was really cool with you guys and appreciated what you're doing.. Good Luck Guys.
You need to make a coin or sticker for the great officers responding! Wish we could send this gentleman a personal thank you! maybe send to your news contact, clips of poor officer response vs the great officers?
Great video again . Going to save up a start magnet fishing in the UK
Best of luck to you there you will find some cool stuff there
Love love LOVE watching y’all pick up trash from the area!! Leading by example and being excited about doing it. Y’all deserve way more credit.
You guys are awesome , cleaning those water ways , bringing up firearms etc . That Officer was so appreciative he said you guys are cleaning the rivers and nobody else is . That touched my heart because the environment don't deserve the treatment . Also I saw a Game Warden give 3 guys magnetic fishing 3 tickets each , I was disappointed . Keep up the good work guys. 💪💪💪💪💪 Great video too. Oh by the way those guns could have been used in a homicide , or homicides those Police probably jealous , not all just some. Forsencis Love You. Diver's too don't have to swim in that water . Awesome Guys. Thank you.
I wonder how many police officers you have turned into magnet fishers XD
Airsoft or not.. don't point it at your friend 😂
Magnetic rocks might be a meteor rock of value.
Cop seems like a cool guy.
Shout out to the coolest ,one of the most professional officers, with love from Cape Town South Africa.
Thanks for restoring my faith in people by cleaning up the rivers. It is amazing how horrible people are, I have a stream in my pasture and I'm always pulling out peoples trash that could hurt my horses.
THANK YOU for cleaning up the area!!!
There are lots of good Police over there
By the way you guys are assisting the police when you find guns or anything of interest to them
Great work
Shout out from Perth Western Australia
literally cool cop. on point and friendly to the community.
LOL! I use to live (and my parents still do) 5 minutes from there.
Always joke about the things in that little lake, I'm sure there is way more crap in there and likely bodies too.
Next time you go back you should try the south end of the lake or maybe some of the spots where the trails around the lake come close to the water.
You know something don't ya?!
That's Sauk Trail lake. I grew up around there. Used to go fishing and hiking there. It wasn't always that dirty in the 70's!
Officier Simmons was way cool. Nice finds. Peace Out
Rifle might be a .303 Enfield. I believe those had the wood way up the barrel like that.
i thought maybe a mauser.
It gave me chills b4 you said it! I want to magnet fish 🐟
After watching this video, I am a official subscriber. You guys are great, and the cop was awesome. You guys are finding things turning them over to the police and also cleaning up the environment. Bravo bravo bravo much love from Boston Massachusetts.❤
Love officers with great attitudes!!
I know where this was videoed and some of the Preserve Police in Illinois let their jobs go to their heads and egos.
Great video.
Great video, but I think I would be wearing gloves while you guys are picking up that trash.
Thank you for watching
I was thinking the same thing! Gloves! But then I must wear gloves at work for so many jobs
Thank you so much for cleaning up the waterways, it’s a shame we don’t have more people taking care of us🥰💐
Just discovered your channel today. I'm totally addicted. Love that you're cleaning up the water while all that cool stuff. You're so close to where I grew up, love it.
Awesome! Thank you!
Love what you're doing for the waterways and you've got to love that Chicago fuzz he was amazeballs! It's truly fantastic to see people doing great for the Earth the world doing good for themselves too and the local enforcement not getting there you know what's in a twist Above and beyond that dude was fully supportive!! Keep doing what you all do! :)❤
I really appreciate how cordial the officer was. Often times they will come out and treat you like a criminal as if you just robbed some old lady and then ran over her poodle. There shouldn't be anything wrong with people cleaning out waterways .
judging by the length of the gun and the shape of the bolt and stock im pretty sure its a mosin nagant, way to thin to be an enfield or a springfield. pretty cool find.
7:46 i belive thats an M1903 Bolt action rifle, nice find!
The rifle is a Swiss Vetterli M1869/71 from the latter half of the 19th century (1850-1900)
You are wonderful for cleaning up the trash. Thank you and 💕from California.
This is great. Doing your work for the environment, and great for us to enjoy. Thanks!
That office clearly wanted to have a go hehe
I really live how they clean the rubbish up its so kind
Great video
