    One can travel outside the U.S after entering with an immigrant visa. You dont need to get the green card in hand before traveling outside. Once the visa is validated at the point of entry, it is extended for one year. This is actually written on the immigrant visa.

    As far as replacing a missing social security card, you can only replace it a certain amount of times a year I believe but the number itself does not change. You are just getting a brand new card with the same identity

    @Lami Where can you pay the $220 in Nigeria. I am abt to fill my DS-260. At what point and where can I pay for it?

    • @lamischannel
      @lamischannel  Před rokem +2

      Most of the payment has to be done by your spouse in the US. That way it’s easier. A link will be provided for you to pay the money.

      I have no idea actually. But I don’t think so. But since you already know how to drive getting a driver’s license here won’t be hard. 👍🏼

    Hi, Lami love the video, my question is what form do I need for green card and how much do it cost.

    • @lamischannel
      @lamischannel  Před rokem

      You don't need any form for green card, so long you are filing the spousal visa.

  • @triadholisticliving2369

    Are you sure about that? An immigration lawyer told me I can travel with the stamp they will place at port of entry to go outside of the country even while waiting on my green card. Also , you must pay for the green card before entering America.

    • @lamischannel
      @lamischannel  Před rokem +2

      Yes you can travel within the country and out since the stamp serves as a temporary green card, before the green card comes. But my stamp expired when I got into the US. So I didn’t go anywhere till I got the green card.

    Hi lami, I just got married last month to my husband and we have a 7 year old together. So he is about filling and he told me he wants to file the I-130 petition. Is he right? Cus on your channel it’s a different one you spoke about. Please explain what’s the difference.

    • @bukkysanni2406
      @bukkysanni2406 Před rokem +1

      He is on the right track. I-130 is the first step. There are 3 different stages. The USCIS which involves filling and submitting the 1-130, NVC which involves submitting all supporting documents and the final stage which is the consulate interview at the embassy.

    • @lamischannel
      @lamischannel  Před rokem

      Hi Oluchi, yes he’s on the right track. For both CR1 and IR1 the first step is I-130. Since you just got married you are filing a CR 1 visa.
