    Hello great video. It would be really interesting if you could make a video sharing the resources you used for the MSRA exam. Cheers 😊

      Thanks! It’s something I can look at doing! I didn’t actually use that many sources, the main websites I used were PassMedicine and the official application practice questions

    Hey for surgery what’s the difference between MSRA exam and MRCS exam

    • @colinkilday
      @colinkilday  Před 9 měsíci

      For a surgical applicant the MSRA exam is an exam which gives you a score that helps to decide your application ranking for surgical training. Once you do the exam and if you get into the training the MSRA exam doesn't mean anything anymore. The MRCS exams are membership exams typically for surgical trainees or those who want to become surgeons and upon passing these exams can become members of one of the surgical colleges in the UK. Passing some of these exams, e.g. MRCS Part A prior to your surgical application would give you points on your surgical application but I no longer believe that this is the case.

    Hello doctor, may I ask if I need to pass PLAB and have a full GMC registration to sit for MSRA?

    • @colinkilday
      @colinkilday  Před 9 měsíci

      It's my understanding that in order to apply for GP training you must have passed PLAB and also have GMC registration. Once you apply for GP training and meet the essential criteria, you will then have the opportunity to sit the MSRA exam.

    Does for psychiatry also can we carry the score for 6 months ?

    • @colinkilday

      I’m pretty sure the score can only be carried over for GP applications at the minute but I would double check this

    Hey is it doable in 3 months of preparation??

    • @colinkilday

      Obviously the earlier you start the better, but 3 months preparation is definitely doable!
