    When you live outside of Ghana, finding simple ingredients such as corn dough, can be a real struggle. But this corn dough comes very close to the one we have back home.

    1kg white cornmeal
    600 gr yellow cornmeal
    About 1 liter of cold water (you may need. More or less)

    How do you make banku/kenkey from this dough? I would love to learn more African food and I love fermenting (I am a sourdough baker!) so this looks fantastic.

    Hi thank you for this life saver corn meal kenkey but can it be make with the first fine cornmeal that has picture of a lady sitting because that the only cornmeal we have here i also use it to make swallow

      Yes, you can use that, too. I just prefer the ones I used in the video because of how my kenkey turned out. Any fine corn meal will work. Pan and Indian head are very popular corn meal brands. Hope you can find them.

      Yes dear, you can use PAN or Indian Head. You can also combine the two.

    Please what type of corn can I use to make it yellow because I made mine but it’s does not look yellow

      Any yellow corn will work. Most brands sell both the yellow and white. Just buy the 2 and mix them together as suggested in the video.
