The music in these games is surprisingly good.
No wonder one of the tracks reminded me so much of Mortal Kombat II on the Genesis.

The funny thing is, after watching this video, I... kind of want to play the game now. I mean it does seem to have problems (the SNES version especially) and I guess there's a chance that experiencing it for myself will make me regret my decision, but watching you guys slice up all of those creatures with your... sword? I think it's a sword... anyway, it looks like fun. And, if anything, that soundtrack is incredible!

Love watching your show and I just discovered it 3 months ago.
Why can't I stop rewatching these videos? I've seen all of them before and I only meant to watch one before bed but here I am in the early hours of the morning, still watching. Lol. Btw, it's really nitpicky and doesn't actually bother me but you probably should have gone with hepatitis B instead of C. Hepatitis C has a tendency to not show any symptoms for years (even decades) until it finally starts to actually kill you so there wouldn't be any weird feeling, especially so soon after infection.
Sitting here playing the game itself on Halloween 2019 ,, and I can literally hear the console wars theme tune in my head , so obviously came and watched again 👍👍

Next ep. predictions
Never played the SNES version of Samaurai Showdown. I'll go out on a limb and guess it'll be a tie or at least extremely close.
A few things I predict they'll point out:
-Like in a lot of the early Neo-Geo AES/MVS SNK fighting games, the screen scales depending on the distance between the fighters. In the 16-bit ports, the fights play entirely in the "zoomed-out" mode in the SNES version while the Sega version plays in "zoomed-in" mode.
-SNES version has the win quote screens while the Sega version just shows the victor's quote in a text box once the match ends.
-Censorship abound in the SNES version with the blood changed to orange, no finishers, and altered quotes and stage names (references to death removed; Green Isle instead of Green Hell). Sega version lacks the censorship of course.
-Numerous missing animations in the Sega version (enough to have entire MOVES missing) along with a missing character: Earthquake.
-More voice clips in the SNES version (even if they're muffled).

Mega Drive/Genesis often has better gameplay mainly thanx to its better CPU & higher resolution but in this game's case the developers managed to add further problems on SNES side! (22:07) So yeah, better on Genesis, & this game is not too bad actually.
Anyway your "which is worst" episodes are some of your best, funnier stuff, & to keep them coming let me suggest a few titles:

I'm a huge Dracula fan, as it's my 2nd all-time favorite book (The Stand is #1), so I picked up the SNES version, but admittedly, have not played it that much. Yeah, it's pretty bad, but watching this video actually makes me want to dig it out and give it a 2nd chance. Great Halloween episode, guys!

I have this game for SNES and I don’t consider it bad. It’s just incredibly basic. I’ve always found it playable and interesting to look at. There’s many many SNES games out there that are terribly worse.

I love the Sega Genesis. Just bought the Mini, 2 six button controllers, and I'm debating on getting the Trueblue USB or sending it to a pro modder for all the games.
I know I'm like, way late to the party here, but the knife-into-sword thing on SNES does make a little design sense as a kind of tutorial. You go see Van Helsing in order to get the sword, which serves to inform the player "Hey, see this guy? He's no bad guy. If you meet him you'll unlock a sweet new weapon. But you have to go get it, so get to searching!"
I'm a glutton for punishment, so I'm gonna check out the SNES cart. Besides, an armoured skeleton and a dragon boss are hard to resist. Great vid as always, guys!

Another excellent video guys! I agree that this game defiantly sucks for the most part, however it was one of my very first Super Nintendo games as a little kid, so it's kind of a guilty pleasure of mine. At least it has some pretty awesome music.
Btw, I don't think the invisible wall on Dracula's stagecoach driver is a glitch. You're supposed to stand back when he whips low, then get in close and attack when he whips high.... Or when I was a kid I would just kneel down and spam the shit outta the button hopping that I didn't die. Who needs strategy when your five? Haha

Console Wars
Yeah I've played the Genesis version as well. It does have really good music, and is probably the better version overall. I could be wrong about this because I haven't played the Genesis version as much, but it seems like the whipping doesn't really have a pattern on the that version. You just kind of attack when you have an opening, but are still able to get back and avoid being attacked altogether. The reason I thought the snes version was intentional was because if you move forward and back with the way he's cracking the whip, you wont ever get hit. Like they did the whip pattern on purpose for that reason.
I find it odd though how a lot of the time the same games can be so different on each console. Sometimes it's a hardware thing, but a lot of the time it just seems random. Like why go to the extra effort to change stuff in each version just to change it? Lol, either way it's pretty awesome though. Gives people a good reason to play them both, and gives you guys a good reason to make these videos!
