They respawn instantly so the only time they're not dead is the time it takes Mercy to rez them.

Some of these sound like solid changes
Pharah’s actually fits her so well. Rewards you for hitting directs and ur ult isn’t just a suicide
Wow I actually really never thought of 'roots' in Overwatch. I like it especially as a replacement to hard CC and it still can combo really well with teamplay elements

Naw, this patch is kinda garbage. Just like last time only 1 or 2 of these changes are actually novel while thr others either exist or do basicslly nothing, cause more problems, or are just qol that is nothing groundbreaking but that people have asked for for years.

Not the bob change but then dynamite one. Although i rarely have problems with the original dynamite, it would be easy for new people. The Bob on would be very op. Definitely don’t need that

Sym seems fun and different. And the fact that the detection range is much greater means the enemies will be tirelessly looking for Sombra and with that distraction it SHOULD lead to allies getting more elims.

Sigmas overhealth removal was kinda stupid imo since you lose alot of survivability

feel like sombra was a miss opportunity to try temporary stealth in exchange for some more lethality or utility (depending on the direction you wanna go) to see how it would work and get actual feed back on it rather then the goofy change she got
I'm confused about the change, it looks like in the video instead of popping up something on the enemy screen, the closer she gets the less she is invisible?
Basically they removed stealth from her kit and went translocator moves faster
Literally deleted her from this mode

@@welkin7321 yeah basically invis is useless but you do move really fast and translocator move faster but without any damage increase in her kit its really hard to do anything on her though there are some funny stuff you can do with the increase movement speed and faster translocator to stall points better then before

The fact that some of the changes are fun and unique and others are just “lets just buff the characters stats a bunch” is sad, especially when those characters are Mauga and Lifeweaver.
Honesty, this is a testament to how poorly designed both Mauga and Lifeweaver are, you can't really buff them much aside from their stats, they need full kit reworks in my opinion. Stat stick characters.
@@pakoodarooyeah in league of legends we call them “stat checkers” - characters who’s kits don’t actually have outplay potential, nuance, or skill expression, all they do is just output tons of stats by pressing a button. there’s no way to outplay them you just have to pump out more stats than them - and they’re always either broken or useless.
i do really love lifeweavers design and playstyle though - i wish his kit had more nuance. i will play tons of him during this patch though just bc of how it’ll make him actually viable.
@@welkin7321 oh trust me i played a lot of league in my time, stat checkers are no fun in any game. problem with lifeweaver is he facilitates a boring playstyle with his kit, but also his strongest ability (lifegrip) isnt even that good in comparison to other supports, who are much more fun to play anyway.
Yeah they’re both really lame characters.
I can at least admire what they were going with Lifeweaver, a support that provides utility with positioning-based moves is a cool concept but in execution the auto lock healing, denial move (with the potential to accidentally or intentionally troll your team), and very low offensive potential turn him into a no-fun healing turret.
Mauga is just unbelievable though, I don’t know how they thought that character had any level of engagement in his kit.
@@welkin7321Wym about LW and nuance? I’d argue he has some of the *most* nuance in the roster. All of his different ability interactions and applications raises his skill ceiling an insane amount.

@@jay4k494I disagree, I play doomfist more than any tank and Ive mained him up to masters in the past, but currently he is very hard to play in any lobbies and I find myself winning more games on almost any other tank, even ones I dont play and wouldn’t consider myself good at

As always, they don't know what to do with Sombra. I remembered they once doubled her hack casting time for creator mode, so she needed to channel her hack longer. It was awful. This time isn't any better. Her translocator has so many potentials for interesting changes.
Also, I wish LW buff would stay in some form even after the event end. Please, anything to make the bro feel less clunky to play, at least the swap time buff.
I know the content creators had "control" of these hero changes, but it feels like Blizzard asked them to provide some realistic changes that they could consider adding to the main game.
Not all of them, of course. Roadhog and Junkrat are examples.
But some changes like Doomfist, Reinhardt, Venture and Widowmaker seem like reasonable changes that could be in the main game.
They better keep the weaver change!! That’s literally all they need!!! Literally!!! Weaver feels so smooth!!!

i think the venture one is decent, since the problem with them ult is exactly that you have to use it quickly before duration runs out with barely option to reconsider shooting it, and compensating the damage is also great since the radius gets larger the more distance it goes, for bap i think mostly ive seen people say his kid is fine as it is for a while now but yeah i agree since this is can be used as a playtest they should try something new to actually see if anything can be improved
I love the DVa Matrix-Beam change. And Winston creating a bubble on using Primal feels like a legitimate buff.
I'd love to see some of these a changes in the actual game, especially the QoL ones like Ashe's Dynamite and Brig's heal icon
The lifeweaver one is perfect...
If those mercy resurrect changes ever get put into live I will never play Overwatch again. Imagine getting resurrected and you're about to confirm a kill and then you just die because the 10 second timer ran out.
Symmetra's Turrets are so bad now, holy shit...Was this even tested before being shipped? (The TP is fine though).

Spot the symmetra main💀💀. (Although I think it’s a cool change because it kinda reminds of me those stereotypical laser beams in agent movies which is pretty sick. And it also punishes sym players by making them think where to put her turrets by their laser beam giving out their location and not auto locking instead of putting them in the upper part of the door frame or spamming them on point)

I haven't used it, but it seems cool, like you can cage in your enemies in. They need to make the turrets alot more sturdy though

All I'd want to change on this is for Bastion, remove crits from Assault but also let it keep nade with a 4 second cooldown. Maybe remove crits from Visor if it gives infinite ammo.
6:03 i expected a fun little change so imagine my shock when i went in to play him earlier and was so confused as to why i wouldn't shoot constantly and why when i landed shots did it do nothing 😭

I feel like Custa missed completely on the changes for Hanzo, and somehow made him even worse and a lot clunkier. Not only that, but it just goes in the wrong direction. The community and the people who play Hanzo do NOT want the spam playstyle to be enforced even more (It's boring).
If I could change Hanzo's Storm Bow, I'd do this to bring power back, reduce spam incentive, reward careful and patient aim, and raise the skill cap of how the weapon is used.
- Maximum Damage reduced to 110 (220 on headshot) (From 120)
- After an arrow has been fully drawn for 0.2 seconds, the arrow will become ‘supercharged’, and will have its damage increased to 130, and its projectile speed is increased to 125 m/s.
- Charge Time decreased to 0.632 (from 0.732 seconds)
- Recovery Time increased to 0.6 seconds (from 0.5 seconds)
- Projectile Radius decreased to 0.15 meters (from 0.175)
- Draw progress is now preserved when using Wall Climb. HOWEVER, Arrows will lose the supercharged effect and you'll need to wait that 0.2 seconds again in order to regain the effect.
- (Potential addition) Now has up to 30% damage fall-off, starting at 40 meters, and reaching max fall-off at 50 meters.
In order to further move away from all that spam, you could most likely just replace Storm Arrows, all together, or you could simply nerf it. This was my idea on how:
- Damage remains the same (at 75)
- Cooldown increased to 10 seconds (from 8)
- Arrow count reduced to 4 (from 5)
- Shot recovery time increased to 0.3 seconds (from 0.25 seconds)
- For each arrow not fired, Storm Arrow's cooldown is decreased by 2.5 seconds. (Not firing any arrows will not incur it's cooldown)
Moira not needing a lot of help makes sense, and giving the land-locked supports some movement options is all for the best, as well as several coildown and movement buffs for others. this adds a dynamic to the game where you have to choose between positioning, targeting, avoiding, and aggressing. with way more variables than before

I feel like we need more UI changes like the Brig inspire one in base game. Add things like a little icon above ally Reins showing their shield health, and more hero specific stat screens, like showing something regarding Lucio's speed boost usage for example
I know its really goofy that im going to comment on the ad segment, BUT, i'd probably be interested in Strinova if it werent for its artstyle. The premise of the mechanics of turning a 3D character 2D in a shooter sounds really fun on paper (har har) but it really does not mesh with an anime artstyle at all, if youre going to make a game with a goofy mechanic as the premise, make goofy characters to go with it

If you kick the ground with Zen, do you bounce up into the air? Also, I've honestly hoped something like that would get implemented for him, seems like it'd be a fun, if wacky, kind of escape mechanic - kick the ground, bounce up, spin and kick the wall behind up, blam - up top! (obviously it would have to take into account the angle at which you kick things to get a nice ramp up)
The zen kick movement definitely should be part of his kit
Interesting quirk about Weaver, by the way - you can still destroy petals if you have no charges left. They destroy in the same order they were placed.
A few changes I would like to keep is 1) That Roadhog´s Breather can reduce dmg allies are taken 2) Reaper´s Wraith-Form acting like Moira´s Fade 3) That Wrecking Ball can slam twice with piledriver. Ps: The change I dislike the most is the one of Junkrat´s tire. In my opinion it´s a downright nerf to the ability.

The hold and release to fire and slowdown while charging feels so awkward with Hanzo's faster fire rate. Not to mention, reintroducing scatter arrow with a 33% damage reduction makes it so terrible with season 9's increased healthpools. Even if you hit every scatter, it's still capped at lower than half of storm arrows potential damage...

I think blizzard is watching how each hero performs in this mode. If a hero does well and isn’t considered too broken then blizzard might take a note for a future patch.
They should do these kind of changes for core game modes every 4 - 6 months to spice things up every now and so. Like I'm digging the Kiriko change and essentially I use her tp like Tracer, so playing as support Tracer lol. It also kinda fantasize her more because in the animated short, she can tp without requiring her allies.
