this is pretty motivational for people that are finding it difficult to do school work at home good job
I'm in year 13 now, but when I was in year 11, my revision consisted of waking up 10 minutes before school, sleeping at school, coming home and playing games, watching tv shows then going sleep.
Its really interesting to see other peoples perspectives on how they revise throughout the day, and props to you for not being lazy like me 😂

I'm on a gap year now after sixth form, but I pretty much messed up my GCSEs by not having a routine and playing video games every afternoon. It took me until year 13 to actually gain the discipline to sit down and revise, so huge props to you for being organised and having a routine at your age. Your future self will 100% thank you for it :)

In my school, the only "exams" we have are all the sciences. But our grades are not purely based on the results from those exams. In other subjects in like a mini-assessment every 2 weeks which I don't mind but there is still pressure on those assessments because you know those grades will play a big part in what our grade is going to be. :)

Exams aint fair tbh, done about half the papers so far and another half to go. Kids be finding the papers online through their tuition teacher's login and go into the test knowing everything whereas there's everyone else that's just helpless and doing the exam at a huge disadvantage.
Ik its really annoying sometimes, what syllabus are u doing?
Yeah, it's actually so unfair. But at the same time when one set does the test, they tell the rest of the sets so we can prepare before hands so it kinda balances the "cheating out" but honestly that's why they should use our year 11 mocks as a weight like 75% of our grade (coz they were 2019 or 2020 papers which are locked)
@@bimboodekunle4296 Agreed but in my school at least, there's one side of the year that does all the exams before the other side so the side doing the exams first will probably get grades far below the second half. So there's pretty much a bias in my school

I think these videos are great and I really respect Udoka’s work ethic. But as a previous GCSE student (took them in 2019) who managed to get top grades, this scale of revision is so much larger than what is needed. This volume clearly works for Udoka but it won’t work for everyone and some students may feel daunted by it. If you are a GCSE student, try not to worry about how much revision you are doing. I did about 1/3 of the study time seen in this video and it worked out great.
If I was a GCSE student and saw this video 2 years ago it would have scared me so much! Revision is relative and don’t think that you have to go straight home from school and revise all night, it is unsustainable for most.
Again, no hate to Udoka, keep up the good work! I’m sure you have a really bright academic future!

We literally have over 40 exams... we have at least 3 for each subject ( and we do 11) plus maths and sciences want to be extra so we have 8 maths exams and 6 exams for each science.
Well good luk is all i can say but i hope GCSEs are abolished after this mess it's just not fair u guys are doing too many exams and we are doing way less than we should

I doubt you’ll see this coz the video was posted over an hour ago (this is me commenting an hour late after already watching it coz I have a random question lmao ) What year do you think pupils should start revising for like general tests ? For example, I’m in year 8 and only a few of my friends actually study and revise for our tests (with science and stuff) If you’re not sure, when did you start getting in the routine of revising ?
I would wait you can do a little in year 9 but I would say start in year 10 just revise for end of year exams and stuff and do more in year 11

In no way or form am I trying to flex but I barely do revision probably about 1-2 hours a week and I get really good marks like always 93% WHY.

Normally you lot have exams and some end goal to the 2/3 year courses. Last year we pretty much got a break for 5 months. This year is somewhere inbetween and that’s a hard L.

Most likely Biology, chemistry, maths and further maths however this is always subject to change
@@udokafintelmann6803 Yo am a medical student. You'll probs have time to research in summer but most medical unis don't consider Maths and Further Maths equally due to overlapping content. Furthermore, year 13 is already really busy with BMAT and interviews so I'd reccommend only doing 3 so you have more free periods for revision and more time to fully focus on ur med school application whilst maintaining good grades in your 3 A Levels (most med schools just expect AAA-A*AA and A Levels are a lot tougher than GCSEs).

I’m from class 2020 so I didn’t even get to do my GCSEs properly. I only did two proper ones which I did in year 10 (English literature and R.E). My final grades were determined from my class work, mock exams and assessments (I actually did very well and got the grades I was aiming for). Revising always made me feel so anxious and tired. Even before my exams were cancelled, I was revising for my English, science, history, maths and Spanish while also completing my Art and design GCSE course work (which I had to rush and submit all I could due to lockdown which caused us yr 11s leaving high school early). I still feel like if I went and did the exams properly, I would have achieved higher grades for certain subjects and I feel like all that time I revised leading up to the moment of my cancelled exams was wasted.
