This was done on a 2014 535i. This method can be used on all F10 F11 F30 F31 F01 chassis.

Thank you, this helped with my 125i coupe. When I replaced the lock actuator i didn't refit the internal cable correctly. The door got stuck but this helped me correct my mistake

as i was changing my lock anyway i thought i would have a tinker with the none responsive lock, i found if leant over to the passenger door and pulled the interior handle and began to toggle the interior lock button on the dash. Somehow i heard a mechanical click and i felt it through the handle too. Well what do you know, the door opens and closes as it should. it didn't respond through the remote or dash button but did lock on the door button and released to open from the handle. I've changed my lock and all is good now. I thought this tactic might work for someone else whilst they wait for their new lock mechanism to arrive.

If it's the Driver side door You can use the key to open the door. So you don't have to take all the extra stuff off
I have same situation on my 01 bmw 740i, and the driver side door won't open from inside or outside. Also, the handle broke off as well. Any suggestions pls

Hello, I replaced the lock and the locking cable with a new one, everything works fine until I use the central locking, then the problem returns, do you know what it could be?

What if the door can open from just the inside? Could there be something wrong with the exterior handle? Or is it still the actuator?
Same issue im having i replaced actuator still wont open from outside everything works fine just wont open from outside
My door on g30 does not open from outside only after I lock it lock comes up but it does not open but if I open it from inside it goes. Do you know what this could be?

I would get a new door lock tomorrow. But the car it comes from doesnt have comfort Access, but mine got that feature, will it still work? Or do I Need a different One? Best regards
You need the exact same one! Connector and fitment might be different!
@@nextlvl7344I‘ve looked up on ebay and they only sell normal Doorlocks and one with softclose. I haven‘t seen anything with „comfort Access“ for the f10

You checked your fuse
I have x3 lock barel broken and remote control not working it’s been parked 2 month $2500 for the bmw to open it and replace the key and lock barel I’m F
There should be an emergency key in the fob of the X3 which will allow you to open the door and unlock.
If you don’t, change your remote battery and jack the car and remove under belly pan, then use a small jumper lead to jump the positive on the alternator - lower passenger side and ground on body. Press unlock on key.
Will this work on a f13 bmw m6 ?
I’m not sure. If it’s a coupé probably a little different. You can try it might have similar mechanism.
stil doesn't open, did exactly everythig same and pushed down quite hard on that while still holding handle in open position. Frustrating
replaced the actuator on my F30 yesterday, pull the black pin all the way up with a pair of pliers and while holding it there press the door unlock button in the car and pull the door handle, now the door is open...tadaaa😄
Help pls. Same situation plus the door handle outside on rhe driver side broke off.
