To address two obvious things:
1) This was filmed in ONE DEGREE January conditions, hence the clothing.
2) Yes, one of the knees in Joe's jeans is ripped. He's not fashionable, just clumsy...
I bought a P5B last year. Absolutely love it. The windscreen rubbers are a £600+ job if you them done and this doesn't even guarantee a watertight car! (don't ask). The interior is Connolly leather but only on the seats, not the door cards or centre console and parcel shelf, they are vinyl as is the head lining. It takes 3 hides to trim the seats if you care! But it is like driving Julia Roberts down the road and you are constantly stopped and waved at by people which is lovely.
I was digging mine out of the garage last night hasn’t moved in 6 years ! Time to finish it !
Good luck!
👍 Gorgeous absolutely beautiful looking old-school classic Rovers .the best examples can now be found in Australia 🇦🇺, or simply any where else but the United Kingdom. Due to them pouring salt on their roads during winter time !.
Great job Joe. Love the Zircon Blue colour.
Me too!
An old friend of mine owned a P5 and drove it at 110mph all day on the M1 during the late 1960's early 70's without any problems. He tried it in a Triumph 2.5PI and it blew up !
Looks like I bought the right classic.
One of the very last Coupés in Silver Birch over Arden Green 👍
Very nice!
My grandfather had a 3.0. First car I remember going in aged about 3. I sat in front, in the middle, no seatbelt because you could! He sold the car and a Cheltenham caravan for a holiday cottage on the North Yorkshire coast (and a Fiat 500!).
I always like this channel. This motor car is very grand! You have scarf and gloves on....was it very cold in the shed!! TY for sharing this. I found the whole thing very interesting. I just read your post and that explains the winter attire haha.😂 ripped jeans are very fashionable 😂😂...proper rips in both knees though required
Good video 👍👍👍👏👏
It was a beautiful car and much better then the car that replaced it
Loving the exhaust in the engine bay on the 3.0L.😉
In Australia l saw a P5B sell for aud $40000 and the Rover was in very good condition and that is the most l have seen any classic British car sell for sellers are try to sell them for more but they are not selling the only place l have seen classic British cars sell a couple have sold privately for what they are worth or they wanted a quick sale and l saw a Rover 75 sell for aud $1000 and it wasn't a rusty wreck it looked to be in pretty good condition and remember the British pound is worth more than tge Australian dollar
My P5 was running badly
"Shit in the carburetor" said the mechanic,
So I did,
Ant it ran worse !!!!!!!
THIS Rover , was PM Harold Wilson official vehicle.
I wonder if P5b. Reg FOV68L is still around,my father owned this in the 1980s.
Yes it appears to be about still , although showing as sorn on dvla
Still have a thing for a Coupe in silver.
Have a thing for a Coupe in silver.
I think the moral of the story is that if you’re looking at a P5 which is rotten then walk away and buy a Volvo Amazon.
An old friend of mine rallies in a Volvo Amazon. Hefty chunk of car.
Dirty lens? Fire in the shed? Fog?
