Oracene Price and Richard Williams belong in the tennis Hall Of Fame. Taught Coached,trained- Two all-time great daughters who have a combined 30 Grandslam singles titles- who have 14 Grand slam Doubles titles a piece. A combined 8 Olympic gold medals they are a true dynasty! Their achievements will be hard to duplicate by any family

I never realized the amount of coaching input mom had to put in especially with Serena, when you see King Richard you'll see when Venus was being coached be a professional coach, Richard would video record the sessions and She would use it to coach Serena.

This was good. The vision that Serena and Venus mother and father had for them is a blueprint; specifically the process.
Just think. Everyone else saw a graffiti painted, weeded, littered old raggedy neighborhood tennis court. Papa Williams saw something else.

Oracene is full of wisdom, class, serenity (no pun there in realtion to Serena's name), strength and very down to earth. That is a great attitude than she was mum at home and coach on the court and didn't try to impose on their natural talent. Little Olympia has a wonderful nana in her life.

I remember she told Serena at the AO 2009. Something about the heat and Serena had problems with it. Serena later told the reporter, that her mom said both player played on the same conditions, so make the best out of it. Such a strong mom and tennis coach

I love how relaxed she is , always has been & always will be, she put in the work & was their through the whole ride of her baby girls growing up, but the part about her letting her daughters figure out certain things for themselves, letting them show YOU what they’re going to do, & not belittling them after they had a hard game is one of the most looked over things so many parents currently do!
