Daiwa Tanacom Electric Reel vs Huge Tiger Shark

  • Was fishing for tiles and had hooked up on a tile until the reel suddenly was working much harder. I thought either I hooked onto a fish that just realized it was hooked or what ever was down there got sharked. It took about 15 minutes to get the shark in. We tried to recover the lead weight but the leader snapped when we wrapped it around the cleat. I was surprised how well the reel handled such a big fish.

It's crazy if you go through the comments and people talk about electric reels like it's not fishing they obviously haven't deep drop before they don't know what it's like to reel up 300 ft or more but when the day comes when they actually do it though think about this moment in time that they put their own foot in their mouth.

Reading all these comments about "Electric reels" not being fishing is>>>>>STUPID. DEEP Drop fishing to 1000 + feet requires up to a 10 lb or more weight to get to the bottom! YOU AREN"T going to reel that over and over each time you send it down.Nice video

You were needing gloves, a harpoon and or a flying gaff. The leader at least 100 lb, if you were intending to take that fish. I liked it its a good real action video. This topic is subjective. When you go deep dropping 700/800ft of water don't even think about hand cranking a fish in, even checking on your bait alone can make your arms sore. So power assist reel really helps when it comes to deep dropping. But like i said, this topic is subjective.

Electric reel Is nice but there's a lot more to study It must have an electronic sensor of everything to pull the fish its because the skills of pulling the fish is theres a lot to be consider, you must know the size of the fish from size you learned how strenth that kind of fish and what kind of fish is that, then know the level and velocity of the force of the motor to be pulled up the fish. The strenth of the nylon that you have in you reel the kind of water mode in the Ocean the current level of the Ocean the Wind direction. That kind of things to be consider that human can have that in a skillfull human.

Outside of actually doing it to make money, then what is the point of deepwater fishing? It's a winch. I can see the application for commercial fisherman, but this seems like neither a sport nor recreational. half of the time it seems like they are winching the fish up from the bottom of the sea just so it can die.
I'm not a vegan or anything, but even I don't like killing the unwilling participant of my sport unless I'm going to eat it. And I don't make a habit of eating them.

So either you don't want to see what's in the depth or you are fine with winding up from 900ft with 10lb min.

Wow just seeing this out of the box czcams.com/users/postUgkxQr1yd4Zc6qJF-scTB6Zb9dQbVpviuRxB recommend I have yet to fish with this set up, but based on the first hands on appeal, I can tell this is going to change the way i pack and carry to a whole new level. If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.
