People also use vectorscope to check for saturation and color. It makes sense to have a panel for color and saturation correction that looks like vectorscope.
I just finished the color grading section of your course... With what you taught right here... You just saved me like 50 clicks to get to the same goal!!! Thank you!
Excellent explanation of this fascinating tool. As someone brand new to film-making and post-production and thus to Resolve, I had been having a lot of trouble wrapping my middle-aged brain around the sequence of panels on the Color Page. Introduction of the Color Warper makes what had been confusing intuitive! I think it's a great innovation. Thank you for sharing your understanding of everything Resolve and film-making with us. You're a terrific explainer! (I'm a purchaser of your full stack of courses. An eye-opening and enriching set of lessons!)
What I also like to the warper, is the skin light indicator. By watching this, you can work on the faces without exaggerating and losing the human look.
Its also visible that it produces much less artifacts and seems more natural when shifting the selected hue/sat/luma, the code behind is very different from what's available on the vs. option panel. This is huge!!
Discovered you today. Absolutely loving your videos. Calm delivery explaining everything so well in terms beginners like myself can easily see and understand. Great work Sir. 👏👏👏
Its kind of cool feature. But at the same time you compare the Blue Color change. But in the Custom Curves you isolate the blue. While in the Warper you don’t isolate the Curve. So doing what you showed with the Color Blue simply changing the hue, sat and lum only to blue. You could not get the same effect in the warper. Or did i miss something? Don’t get me wrong. Great explanation. But for the one example you gave, i would still go to qualifier or use the Curves.
Thanks for posting this. Is there an upgrade to a Davinci 17 colour course coming and if so, how do we access it if we have the current course. Thanks.
Hi Justin, We already started rolling out the updated courses. The Editing course is now fully updated to Resolve 17, and the color course will start being rolled out next week.

Have bought your Resolve courses (boundle) and was just a great choice! Thanks for really good tutorial material.
Thanks Alex. I am glad after taking your free intro, I purchased your full course. So many features to explore in Davinci!
I recently dropped out of uni because creators like this help me out more than the lectures did.
Looks like 3D Lut Creator this is awesome addition!
It is. Almost rendered my 3d lut creator useless with the exception of a few tools, including cymk
Thank You for taking the time to show this. !!!
You're a great instructor
This guy is a Teacher. Nice tuts man.
Thanks again for making these videos. Makes a lot of sense and thanks for going the distance to actually trying to educate instead of test and scores.

Thank you. Can we say that colour Warper is very good tool for beginners?
Colour Warper is also colourspace aware.

Thank you Sir. i would have never have touched the color warper.
Hi, top video as always. It seems to me that a colour warper simulates a touch control panel that pros might have ... no ? Cheers
love your channel. Sub'd and watching so much!
another very useful video
Great explainer. Do you have a timeline for when you will be redoing the resolve 16 videos? At least the introductory ones?
