This is Santi Forest Monastery in Malaysia.
12th Sunday November 2023. This is Pindapata before Katina in a Buddhist temple in Malaysia.
It is admirable that, when we compare Sri Lankan monks with Malaysian monks, the Katina ceremony is equal as both are following Vinaya Pitaka.
Usually, the sponsorship to Katina in a Sri Lankan Buddhist Temple for a certain year, is given by one family in the village. Hence, Almost all the Sri Lankan Buddhist temples' ,Katina sponsorship cannot be taken until, at least in the year 2035. The sponsors' list is full.
This video is only to watch as an awareness program for Sri Lankan Buddhists to catalyse their effort towards their religious life.
Here I want to give a positive attitude about Buddhist temples in Malaysia.
Actually, there are so many points that Sri Lankans can use as models to succeed in their lives.
Also, this is an example to prove that a Buddhist is not a poor as well as Sri Lankan Buddhists are not isolated in the world.
I offer my gratitude to Santi Monastery abbot, monks and all the devotees who help to maintain the monastery.
This video explains people's offerings to Sangha before the Katina in a Buddhist Temple in Malaysia. Here, all the Buddhist devotees want to offer their items by their hands to monks hand. It is a good act and Vinaya Pitaka advices to do so and offering is completed by doing so.
In Sri Lanka, devotees bring all the things to Damma Hall and offer to Sangha at their. Monks in Sri Lanka use the eating bowls only to take food. Pindapata is rare in Sri Lanka unless a Forest Monastery. But, Pindapata is an optimal act a bikku should follow to achieve the destination of his religious life. There are so many benefits such as walking meditation while Pindapata.
You can subscribe to this channel and watch many Alms for Sangha in Sri Lanka that I've presented. Among the alms for bikku in Sri Lanka that I've uploaded, I'm happy to say that I'm the organiser of many Alms in Forest Monasteries.
But, alms in Sri Lankan temples based on villages are a bit different. There, one day, breakfast and lunch alms will be provided by two separate village families. It is not difficult as in most occasions, there are only 2 or 3 monks in a village temple.

මැලේසියාවේ ශාන්ති ආරණ්‍ය සේනාසනය ථේරවාද බෞද්ධ පංසලක්.
මෙම ආරණ්‍ය සේනාසනය, සිංගප්පූරුව සහ මැලේසියාව වෙන්කරන දේශ සීමාව ආසන්නයේ ඇති ආරණ්‍ය සේනාසනයකි.
මෙම වීඩියෝව 2023 වසරේ කඨින පිංකමට පෙර මෙම ආරණ්‍ය සේනාසනයට පැමිණි දායක දායිකාවන් තම අතින්ම භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලා ගේ අතටම තමන් ගෙන ආ භාණ්ඩ පූජා කට ආකාරය දක්වන්නකි.
මෙසේ එකතුවන භාණ්ඩ වසරේ ඉදිරි කාලයේ පුරා, ආරණ්‍ය සේනාසනයේ පැවැත්වෙන ගිහි හෝ පැවිදි, ධර්ම වැඩසටහන් වලදී ප්‍රයෝජනයට ගනී.
මෙම ආරණ්‍ය සේනාසනයේ උදෑසන වන්දනාව අළුයම 5 ට ආරම්භ වන අතර, ආරණ්‍ය යේ සිටින සියළු දෙනාම සහභාගී විය යුතුය. පාලි සූත්‍ර දේශනා ඉතා මිහිරි හඩින් සජ්ඣායනය කරන අතර, ධර්‍ම ශාලාව මේ සදහා භාවිතා කරයි.
ආරණ්‍ය සේනාසනයේ සියළුම භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලා අළුයම සිට අවදි වී තම වතාවත් වල නියැලෙන අතර සියලුම භික්ෂුන් වහන්සේලා, සියළුම වන්දනා කටයුතු සදහා සහභාගි වීම විශේෂත්වයකි.
උදෑසන දානය, උදේ 7.30ට සහ දවල් 11.30ට වන අතර, පළමුව භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලාත්, ඉන් අනතුරුව ගිහි උපාසක උපාසිකාවනුත් දානය ගැනීම සිදුකරයි.
සවස වන්දනාව රාත්‍රී 7 සිට 9 පමණ වන තුරු ධර්ම ශාලාවේ දී සියළුම භික්ෂුන් වහන්සේලා සහ උපාසක උපාසිකාවන් ගේ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් සිදුකරන අතර, ලංකාවේ අපට හුරු පුරුදු, පාලි භාෂාවෙන් ම සිදු කෙරේ.
ආරණ්‍ය සේනාසනය තුල ප්‍රධාන වශයෙන් මැන්ඩරින් චීන භාෂාව කථා කරන අතර, සියළු දෙනාම චතුර ලෙස මැලේ භාෂාවෙන් ද සන්නිවේදනය කරයි.
සියළු භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලා ඉතාමත් අල්පේච්ඡ ජීවිතයක් ම ගත කරයි.
ආරණ්‍ය සේනාසනය ට දායක දායිකාවන් විශාල වශයෙන් ද්‍රව්‍යමය ආධාර ලබාදෙන අතර ඒ, ඔවුන්ගේ ගේ ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨ ධාර්මික බවයි.
චීනයේ සිට මැලේසියාව ට, මීට වසර 150 කට හෝ ඊටත් පෙර පැමිණ, මැලේසියාවේ පුරවැසිභාවය ලැබූ, චීන සම්භවයක් සහිත මැලේසියානු ජාතිකයින්, මෙම බෞද්ධ ආරණ්‍ය සේනාසනයේ නඩත්තු කටයුතු ඉතාමත් භක්තියෙන්, ධර්‍ම ගෞරවයෙන් සිදු කරයි.
