    Hi Michal, great insite into batteries.
    I never thought about not fully charging batteries for slippy surfaces, I've always been a believer in "more power. It makes sense about not over powering on slippy surfaces. Over here in the UK this might be the "silver bullet", please take this post down now and don't tell to many people 🤐.

      It is a very good tuning option sometimes 👍. Don’t share it with anyone...

    I enjoy your recent videos, always good info. I would appreciate if you would increase your mic volume a bit, in comparision to other videos i have to turn my volume up quite a bit.

    Hi Michal, What charger do you currently use please?

    Is it safe to charge a battery as soon as it's discharged?

  • @Slatanicmushroom
    @Slatanicmushroom Před 3 lety

    Great info Michal, thank you! About discharging, you spoke about 20A. What about e.g. discharging at 30A? Does the battery suffer from the higher A? I've heard about people who discharge at ?40A?. And if I'd discharge at only 10A, would that influence the battery in a certain way?

    • @MichalOrlowskiRacing
      @MichalOrlowskiRacing  Před 3 lety

      Discharge A does not influence the battery in a bad way. Only charging at high A does harm to the battery in the long run

      @@MichalOrlowskiRacing I was thinking that way, but wasn't sure 🙂 Thanks for the reply, have a nice day!

    i guess this isnt a look after your safety video. literal starts with showing how he carries, and most likely stores, his lipos in a flammable bag. fucking great start.

    Hi Michal, thanks for your content. Do you Charge your HV lipos higher than standart 4.2V/cell and If so, is there a reasonable improvement on the track if you have +0.1V/cell more in your lipo? Thanks in advance!

    • @MichalOrlowskiRacing
      @MichalOrlowskiRacing  Před 4 lety +1

      I charge them as high as possible on carpet, so it’s 8,4V in the inspection before the run. Performance wise doesn’t change much, but You get a bit more mAh into the battery.

    Hey! I got the LRP Pulsar Touch charger, is it ok for the battery to be discharged at 20 amps? In my case its a gens ace with 120/60c.
    Thanks

      @lennartkrischik4757 Před 3 lety

      It is probably possible and many stock racers are doing that, they even have an extra discharger, which can discharge with ludicrous speed. So if you are stock racing, you can try it, just be aware that you battety life will be a little bit less, but you will get more power for a run out of the thing, because there is a better inner Flow with the temperatur they get. If youre modified then i wouldnt do that, wont really make a difference. Just dont discharge it completely, that will destroy the battery. 3.3 is good

    • @lennartkrischik4757
      @lennartkrischik4757 Před 3 lety

      But for the battery it ist possible. Gens ace are also very strong and with that rating you shouldnt have problems

    • @lennartkrischik4757
      @lennartkrischik4757 Před 3 lety

      10-15 should be enough to get it to temp though

  • @lynx7575
    @lynx7575 Před 4 lety

    It’s not enough select a simple button in any charger, storage feature! Don’t understand all this complicated method you are explaining. storage function is doing more than enough to keep any batteries safe and on top of their potential. Just remember to do quite regularly after a stop period.

    • @MichalOrlowskiRacing
      @MichalOrlowskiRacing  Před 4 lety

      Maybe there was a small misunderstanding. Nothing too difficult about this procedure. When You get a new battery, remember to discharge it to 3,3V/cell, before charging it fully. It would be the best for the battery to do it every time, but many times we don’t have enough time at the track to do it. After the race is finished charge it to 3,8-3,9V/cell (storage) and that’s all. 👍

    • @MichalOrlowskiRacing
      @MichalOrlowskiRacing  Před 4 lety

      Some chargers might not have storage mode, therefore I wanted to explain what the storage mode does.

    I’ve seen enough lrp batteries go on fire ,destroying entire kits that I would never buy lrp lipos.

    • @MichalOrlowskiRacing
      @MichalOrlowskiRacing  Před 4 lety +3

      I’m sorry You had issues with them. As for myself, I have never seen an LRP lipo go on fire.
