- Don'tcha just love bosses that heal to full if you make one tiny mistake? Well, the designers of this month's fight do, and it took me 2 days to figure out a fleet that can beat Yukikaze reliably. There aren't many other ships that are viable here, but I know that Bismarck Zwei can replace Musashi, and Shinano/Hakuryuu can be used instead of Yorktown II and Implacable. Other than that, I don't know. I did this on the first 2 days of the month without any help.
- Hry
I have no words at how much I hated this battle. It's like devs went out of their way to make sure Yukikaze stopped in the middle of nowhere once every few minutes so that things like Soyuz barrage would leave a few pots alive, so that Yukikaze healed a bit before dive bombers arrived.
Also, I have no idea how people used 3 CL/3DD frontlines without it just dying a few minutes into the, battle. Had to undust "ye old reliable" Aquila, which obviously gutted my backline DPS.
Overall easily up there with Helena as contender for the worst designed battle. "What a fun and unforgettable experience, that I wish I never had"
This was definitely one of my least favorite battles in the game. And using a squishy vanguard usually isn't my favorite, but for some manual battles I can do it. Also, your quote describes a lot of these challenge and EX stages perfectly.
I completed my battle with 2 different teams. 1st Kearsarge, Hakuryuu, Yorktown II, Helena, Aurora and Sirius. 2nd Soyuz, Kearsarge, Yorktown II, Helena, Aurora, Sirius. Team 2 finished much faster than Team 1. Soyuz's ice destroys all of the floaters at once. Team 1 is very RNG heavy.
I had a ton of success with Soyuz, but since her barrage is on salvo load, you need really good timing, so I chose not to include her to make it a bit easier.
@@LookIntoGaming I can understand your logic on that. That's why I used Kearsarge as a secondary in case the timing was off.
Your team 2 is very consistent in my runs. Even though I screwed up here and there but still managed to clear
@@kogarashixz No problem! I'm glad you were able to clear the challenge. The 1st team has serious RNG which is why it's not consistent.
@@jamesyoung151 yeah, I hate it when the bombs didn't hit all of the healers and she heals a huge chunk of HP
it's actually very easy if you can time your shots, since ALL the floaties spawn in FIXED times, no changes on the timer no matter how many time you play, so just time it and burst ALL 3 of them at the same time with CV runs before they can even heal
Edit: save your CV skills, look at the timer when it's 2-3 seconds before the floaties spawn, unleash hell on her
(also a fun fact, she shoots A BUNCH more torps if you go tank her shots with high hp vanguards)
Also how did you get so much damage, my vanguards barely lose over half hp after finish
That is the nice part, but if your salvo doesn't destroy all of them then you have a problem. For CVs, I've noticed that the HVAR rockets don't always kill the one in the back, so it might be better to use bombers instead.
My Musashi was lacking in damage, so I couldn't consistently destroy the heal bots with her lightning strike, but thanks to your recommendation I could beat Yukikaze with ease 👍
No tengo a plymouth que personaje puede resplasarlo ?
Sirius, Helena, Jintsuu. Light cruisers and Destroyers to fire as many shells as possible to break her shield.
the easiest way is to use soyuz which nukes all the heals with the iceberg lol
I tried her in a few of my attempts, but I just thought the timing was way too difficult to get consistently.
this is dogsht. im not doing challenge mode last minute again
That's half the reason I do it at the start of the month. The other is to make the video.
