+AeroAnonymous Sure, Rhodes Airport is an international airport. Even an A380 had landed once. We also have scheduled flights from Tel Aviv with the B747 of El Al. Unfortunately I didn't manage to film any of them.

Nice to hear that :) I always thinked that it is an airport like skiathos or corfu where just 737' or the A320 Family is landing :D

+AeroAnonymous Nope, Diagoras Airport belongs to Category 1 (with the JFK, the Heathrow...). All the aircrafts can land in Diagoras. It is sad that none of the airlines operating now here have A380s.

I have to correct you for something, mate. No A380 has ever landed in Rhodes. All other info is correct. We've seen frequent 744s from TSO and ELY, 772, 773 and even the odd An124 on one-off cargo flights. Nice video. Liked :-)

Alpha India Foxtrot This was information from a friend, who works in the airport actually. Years before (back in January 2010) he said to me that an A380 landed here for a training-test flight. It was painted in the Airbus livery. That was what I knew. Btw, thanks for stopping by and commenting!
