As Hong Kong enters its 18th week of unrest, an elderly woman vents her frustration while clearing a protest barricade: “Blocking people from getting about - what good is that? Explain that to me.”

This is heartbreaking. I get the reasons for protesting but trying to blind a lone elder with laser pointers is such a low blow to someone who obviously cares about other people.
She just told them to not be disruptive ,that’s not bad. She is just a normal person trying to get on with her life
as a chinese indonesian i literally wanted to cry for this granny, she doesn’t support china nor hongkong, she just want to live normal life like she used to have, but these protester change her pretending like shes china puppet, i just wanted to know where’s the morality of these people, as a chinese descendant, we’re really respectful to the elders, that laser, flag, and messing up with her work removing the cones really hurts me, shes moving those bricks and cones could’ve hurt her spine, that laser could damage her eyes like, dude, just let her do the thing, she just wanted to clean up the street not supporting the chinese gov, don’t be a d and make her look like a chinese puppet. i hope she’s still healthy in that age.
You will never convince me that you are fighting for anyone's freedom when you in doing so you take away someone else's. This is not the definition of democracy, its actually anarchy.
First, they tried to intimidate her with laser gun. Then, they tried to coach her to say something extreme. Lastly, they tried to frame her by offering her a China flag. All Failed! Best & smartest grandma I've seen in my life! My hero! My idol!

she literally roasted a group of people protesting just to get their way and i do not see any problem with her.
They lost their cause the moment that laser hits grandma's eyes.

I laughed out loud when she said "What did you dig up the bricks for?! To build a Great Wall?!" I love and respect this granny!
Its funny that u guys keep on recording her instead of helping her a hand. What she said are the truth. In the end those who suffer the most are those who are not involved. And that reporter or journalist or a recorder, u ask the wrong person because u always ask the obvious.

everyone has the right to protest. Some protesters don’t get that they can be protested against.
Laser damages eyes seriously, especially for the elders whose eyes are normally already extremely fragile. so disgusting to watch this. Wonder how they were brought up and educated.

As a laser science specialist, just lasers to pointed at eyes of people to try blinding people. This is the most unethical and devil means of souls's actions.
It is a shame nobody helps an old lady. From this we know the kind of people the protesters and reporters are.
