    • @sidiidris1240
      @sidiidris1240 Před rokem

      Not sustainable. It needs rare earth. Technology is limited by rare earth supply. There is no such thing as green technology since global warming (climate change) is a hoax. The Club of Rome published The Limits to Growth book in 1972 which is the basis of today's fake Agenda 2030. Bill Gates comes out with a fake carbon equation P x S x E x C = CO2 that demands the PEOPLE (population) to be greatly reduced or culled (depopulation). One way to do it is through the pandemic, and the wars, and the famines and the deaths according tho the Book of Revelation. And this they call it as THE TRIBULATIONS. Saudi Arabia is making a great mistake with the Line because they never consider the sources of great Truth in the Qur'an and Hadith. Saudis are too secular and too materialistic, and this is their formula of DOOM. Money is not everything. In the end, the SPIRITUAL is the answer.

    Historically, green projects promise green, but have non-green backups. When the green fails, the backups become the norm and more so inefficient than if they had been the primary implementation in the first place. Experimentation and small scale conversion work out the kinks that slay large projects like this or leave them finished but desolate. It'd be nice, but I'm not optimistic about the project.

      Your ignorance is strong my friend. Saudi have created liveable land where sea once was, sky scrapers and huge cities where sand blew and forests where desserts made living inhospitable for humans.
      They have more cash than all the western countries put together with almost zero debt in comparison, an abundance of water per capita with desalination plants and excess food and a trade surplus second to none built on the back of western greed for oil. They’ve zero income tax making it extremely competitive as a place of work, relaxation and a general better work life balance aimed more at time with family than work colleagues.
      I have no doubt they will pull this off and most likely ahead of time, my thoughts are echoed by many professionals and millions of Saudis proud and willing to make this happen.

    A large portion of the city won't be located within the structure like an airport, stadiums, convention centers, geothermal powerplants, water reclamation and deslination, as well as industrial zones and warehouses.
    Access to open water will be limited for resorts and yacht docks.
    Expansion inside the structure will also be very difficult. If a hotel needs to grow there won't be anywhere to go. Up? Down? or acquisition of other spaces possibly homes. The structure will also have the issue of modernizing in the future. Creating new spaces in already existing spaces within the constraints of a verticle shell with public areas located below. Hopefully, the A.I. they are using can navigate the logistical nightmare in future modernizations of the city.
    I still love the idea of this city.

    Everything about this project is on a pretty massive scale. The dream is awe inspiring, and I have to say humanity needs things like that more than ever. Awe inspiring bold leap forward kind of projects, sadly, often come with costs we'd rather not have. How many mega projects have displaced people, villages, etc? Pretty much all of them. Environmental sustainability is something we are still trying to figure out... and honestly, if we don't try, we never will figure it out. So I'm all for this attempt. Will it work? There really is only one way to find out.
    Sindalah looks beautiful. I wish they were not only catering to the rich with a luxury tourism thing, but I get why projects start with that. Great way to make back money quickly. The Line is really stunning internally... and if transportation and modularity can be worked out it has very real potential to transform the urban sprawl way we look at cities now.
    I can think of a lot worse ways for the Saudi's to spend their money.

    Very ambitious and the work is certainly coming on a pace. As beautiful as the images are, I do wonder at life at the social level. Pretty sure those dwellings are not intended for people who have to count pennies which brings into question the desirability of living 'just like everyone else'. You will be living in a vivarium.
    The level of organisation for the work so far is at a high level. Those digging machines can be counted in their hundreds, not dozens. But, mistakes and omissions do happen. The Burj Khalifa, at $130 billion still has no sewage system so, a small army of tankers has to line up each day to take it away. Lets hope those resorts on the Red Sea have adequate treatment facilities or those thousands of species of fish will become a memory quickly.

Moses led the Israelites leaving Egypt crossing water that could be somewhere in the Gulf of Aqaba. Recent findings and research of Dan Gibson could prove that the birthplace of Muhammad and the original Mecca could be in Petra, now Wadi Musa, close to this Gulf of Aqaba. On 13 April 2020, Abdul Rahim al-Huwaiti of the Howeitat tribe, who is native to the area, posted videos online announcing that Saudi Barbarian security forces were trying to evict him and other members of the Howeitat tribe from their historical homeland to make way for the development of Neom.
    In the videos, Abdul Rahim al-Huwaiti said that he would defy the eviction orders, although he expected that Saudi Barbarian authorities would plant weapons in his house to incriminate him. He was later shot and killed by Saudi Barbarian security forces, who claimed he had opened fire on them.
    London-based human rights activist and fellow Howeitat tribe member Alya Alhwaiti disputed this version of events, stating that al-Huwaiti did not own firearms. Eight cousins of al-Huwaiti have been arrested for protesting against the eviction order.
    In October 2022, the Specialized Criminal Court of Saudi Barbaria sentenced three members of the Howeitat tribe to death for resisting displacement. The three men were arrested in 2020 for opposing the eviction of their tribe for the project. One of the condemned men, Shadli al-Howeiti, was the brother of Abdul Rahim al-Howeiti.
