- "I know your mistakes and you know mine ... We're just two grown men saying goodbye".
Watch in HD + headphones!
The character arc of these two!
Father/son dynamic with redemption and sacrifice on both sides.
Their reunion on the carrier made me cry, so I chose to edit a video with an equally sad song.
"Thank you for saving my life" - Mav
"It's what my dad would have done" - Rooster
Cue tears. Thanks Miles Teller and Tom Cruise.
-----------------------------------------------
"You'd go after 'em if I wasn't here" - newly adopted Rooster
"But you ARE here" - protective father figure Mav
Manually added closed captions/subtitles.
Enjoy!

Did anyone else think when Rooster said "it's what my dad would've done" is also a nod to Mav because that's literally what Mav did for him minutes before?
Mav coming out of that shell to forget about the past and trusting Rooster to become his wingman just shows how much he loves him as a son
I'm sorry but mav trowing Rooster in the snow makes me laugh everytime, I love them so much
It's one of my favorite things in the movie!
He pushed him in the snow. 😂 He was mad at him. Maybe that was his punishment. 😂 Cute scene.
Yes. I agree. I so love that scene.
One other piece I noticed - when Maverick is talking to Ice about not being a teacher. In the context of the Navy, I do think he's talking about being a teacher but in the context of rooster, he's metaphorically saying "I'm not his father, I don't know how to be his father, and it's not what Rooster wants". Ice tells him Rooster needs him, even if he doesn't see that.
Damn I don't care what anybody says there are some scenes where I'm sobbing uncontrollably and one of those scenes is when Maverick and Rooster are hugging.😭
Pete may not have been Bradley's father, he sure was his daddy. Mav was always talking to Goose but Rooster seemed like he was talking to Mav. "Talk to me dad."
In the scene where Rooster says "talk to me dad", it's Maverick's voice he hears. It's very subtle, but I picked up on it.
Same here . Breath skipping mome
I missed that I plan on seeing it again I watch for it
What scene was that
@@elshem122 I think it was on the actual bombing run, right before Rooster sped up. He said "Talk to me, Dad". The words he hears are Maverick saying "Don't think. Do."
Did you pick up on the part where mav is saying that same thing : talk to me goose! They both say that- on one side it’s talk to me dad, On the other side it’s talk to me goose! They’re both still grieving the same thing only mav Feels responsible… Where as rooster Wants to be like his dad. And mav is Not letting him,… That’s the connection
Miles Teller did an amazing job playing Rooster 🐓!! This was an extremely touching scene.....Kudos to both Tom Cruise and Miles Teller!!!
It makes me so sad so see how broken mav was and it also going to rooster is even worse because mav was just trying to be the dad rooster didn’t have for a long time😭
incredible editing skills you got brilliant simply outstanding and heart touching
Thank you!! This means so much 💙. Exactly what I was aiming for!
This is great! Absolutely love this. Portrays their relationship so well :)
TOP GUN Maverick is the best movie 🥇 2022 it's great 👍 TOP 👍
Very apt song chosen and well amde
Great edit ❤️ love these two connection and dynamic
Bull’s eyes on your song and scenes match! Thanks so much
This means so much! I knew I wanted to do an edit about these two, and I searched for father/son songs and I found this and knew it was the perfect song 💙
Good thought and great job. Not many people possess this talent.
I hear this a great movie. I'm looking forward to seeing it.
It's a cinematic masterpiece on the art of setting up characters, making the audience care about them and gripping your seat hoping they all make it out alive. All while having throwbacks to the original, but creating a unique storyline that doesn't rely on the original to hit you in the feels. I saw it 4x in theaters!
It’s better seen In the theatre if you watch it at home just no point really
@@maul8384 Darth Maul, you are so correct. Feeling the seats shake when the F-18s took off was quite the sensation that I don't think will be replicated in the future
@@maul8384 That's an interesting viewpoint. Is that how you felt about the original "Top Gun?"
I couldn’t possibly disagree more. To say it’s not wor try seeing outside the theater is saying that the flying sequences were the only important thing about this movie. This sequel had so much more heart than the original that it leaves it in the dust. These two characters in the video were worth the price of admission, and there a so much more than them. Cool plane sequences only take you so far. The characters make it worthwhile.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Jesus. Nice job.
'Amei o vídeo' 😍! 👏👏👏 💯 Ficou lindo 🙂! Parabéns 🙂! 👏👏👏 ❤️✈️
I love this sm ❤
😊❤️
@@allison_edits 🥰
If Disney had made this movie, they would have gotten married.
Ikr 😊🥲🥺🤣🤣
And adopt all the F18s as their adopted children! F18 - she’s a beauty!
Disney: she? Did you just assumed the Jet’s gender?
🤣 they would have identified as f14s and transitioned their afterburners to the cockpit
❤❤❤❤
So pretty
Dear Mr Tom Cruise
I hope I'm ready now and I will do the best to progress as you want

I m épuisée, I know it's my fault, but before to go to talk with my Comte Geoffroy de Peyrac and sleeping, I wanted to say to you " I love you à en mourir"

This XxgoosexX person (badly) copied your whole video and reposted it as their own. I reported it, but not sure if CZcams is gonna do anything!!
That's unfortunate!! People suck. I found the link and you're so right it's awful! Thanks for your kind efforts 💙
Toujours obliger de mettre une musique de chialeuse !
Obviously Rooster's mother was evil.
Have you seen the first movie?
She was a good person, she just didn't want her son to become a pilot and suffer the same fate as his dad (Goose).
I kinda agree with this. I mean, she made maverick, probably his only father figure, confront rooster about both their fears about him joining the navy. That was a messed up thing to do, bc then rooster was left without a parental figure once she died. So, yeah, I'm sorry you were sick and died, but tell your son yourself that you're afraid for him, don't make maverick do it on his own. That annoyed the crap out of me. 🤷♀️
@@allison_edits she may have been a good person, but she did a crappy thing. She made maverick basically confront rooster alone about their fears of him joining the navy. I feel bad that she was ill and died, but don't go putting all that on mav's shoulders alone, bc then rooster felt betrayed and had no parental figure after she died. So she ended up hurting her son more than helping. A better person probably would've been honest with rooster. 🤷♀️
@@roshieifra yeah I hear this. I mean, I don’t think she was a bad person at all - presumably she was dying & terrified, scared of leaving her son etc - but I agree it was unfair to ask Mav to do this, costing Bradley his last remaining parent figure… though that said, just maybe she didn’t expect Mav to take the full blame, maybe she had hoped he would tell Bradley the truth & blame it on her, but Mav chose not to… because Mav also wanted to protect him & possibly would have done it anyway…?
Wtf is with the cheesy ass music
Yes
Couldn’t finish watching the video because of it. Yikes!
Likely copyright dodge.
