Iâll add some more tricks,
1.You can Q and W really quickly together to make ur lantern go farther
2.Your first Q has two pulls so if for ex a Leona is sticking on ur ADC you can q the Leona and wait for first pull and then flash away with the second pull to move Leona away.
3.To counter sivirs shield you can q and e towards you at the same time (if youâre close) the q has charge time so u can cancel her shield with e.

you can also:
- use W to gain vision
- use W to block pathing between wall and turret
- use W to scare enemies even if you have no help
- for more burst and less dangerosity you can Q1 + R + E (into the box) without taking Q2, this combo does high burst and prevents you from going under enemy fire (like turrets)
- your W doesnt diseapear immediatly if you go out of range using Q2 so throw your W and wait as much time before using Q2 if you are gonna go out of range
- holding onto your Q can scare the enemy enough to let you enter E range
W still grant ally shield in the next 4 seconds to ally near him if Thresh moving out of lantern range, which is effective in using lantern to collect soul, so your ally still get a shield if you use it that way
Tip for hitting skill shots: Aim towards the feet of the character. LOL is actually a 2D game that appears to be 3D. The hit box for characters are therefore originating from their feet. If you think that they may try to dodge the skill shot, then aim in-between their feet and the direction you think they will be going. This gives you a 66% chance of hitting the skill shot, as if they don't move you hit and if they move in the direction you guess you also hit. Hope this helps new players or people trying to improve!
Edit: For s Thresh specific tip: If you are in melee range of the enemy adc, alway start with E, then AA to proc passive, then Q as the E causes a short slow and increases the success of hitting the hook or forcing a flash off the adc. It's a worthwhile trade to force a flash off the adc, as it makes them super vulnerable for ganks now. Going off that, if their flash is down and your adc understands wave control, make sure you understand wave control as well cause it can be a game changer for bot lane.

Its not a 2d game. Its a 3d game rendered in a isometric camera angle which causes it to appear somewhat 2d...

Dont use W for collecting souls if there may be any danger nearby. For skilling you might want to max W first if you need it often/ the enemy jungler camps you. The W animation might get confused with the Q animation, so sometimes if its hard to hit Q use W onto them first and see where they dodge to, then follow up with the Q quickly. If you can, zone enemies near walls so you can cast the Q to the side of the champion he can dodge to. He cant dodge into the wall. If he continues going into the same direction or dodges to where you have the aim in that situation you hit. He basically needs to flash or dash away. Guardian can sometimes be usefull aswell and now something amazing: guardian gets triggered not only if thresh is nearby, but also if the lantern is nearby! For some reason the lantern counts as thresh for guardian... Also go into the training mode thingy and get used to tricks like Q1 flash W Q2 E R and other combos, especially if you flash over walls and throw the lantern over the next wall.
w should be used to help not collecting souls!

Thresh main here, right now guardian is actually better , you usually go guardian with Zeke first item into redemption. Don't build knights vow it has good stats but Zeke is 100 times better

Oh really? I also took aftershock because of it reduces damage taken for a period of time. But it makes sense since guardian got buffed and is super strong rn. I think aftershock is only better in lane phase

Morg is not necessarily a counter to thresh, you can hook someone with black shield to engage team fights and flay back many others. Blitzcrank is quite a counter to thresh in lane. Note that blitz hook has a longer range and he is tankier as a melee support
I usually use 3rd skill first before hooking (1st skill). It has more chances for hooking the enemy rather than missing when you use ur Q first

I get that you activate the flay faster pulling it to you but then the champ that you flay to cancel the change will be on top of you. That defeats the purpose doesn't it? They will be able to cc you freely,
It depends on your reflex,
if you use it late, champ will be on top of you,
if you are fast, champ will be in about mid range of Flay :)
@Wolf It may related to the reflex but I think it is more related with the situation and prediction.
For example, someone can react in usual situation but not in confusing team fight, etc.
And cursor position is highly dependent when you use E.
People usually try to push away even if the cursor is not in good position,
results in using E with quite high delay.
So I'm telling people that use E to push away is not only option or mandatory.
Even if they pull with E,
they will proc faster E so it may result enemy in more distance.

i really find it hard to do the instant E pull with tresh on mouse any advice? i keep rotating the mouse for 1 hour so that it pull. E push on default.should i use quick cast for tresh?
Thresh relies a lot on team coordination, and you cannot trust your allies will know your intentions, so ping correctly when entering a tf, ganking or chasing a jungle in a roam (and also makes sure your mates can actually follow you, see this channel's jungle guide for more info about this)

as a thresh main, i dont think u need to build Gargoyle on thresh, he is not a tank support that goes in front of the team, most of the times u stay with your adc pull enemies towards u and peel for ur adc, q2 should not be used frequently in team fights.
Just personal opinion tho
Build and rune could be changed over patches.

You should have included the famous bunnyfufuu vs doublelift play where bunny is on thresh and completely destroys doublelifts tristana in the top lane. Also the last combo in the combo guide is called the "bunny hop" named after Bunnyfufuu

If there is only one champ, that one has to evade skill.
But if there are two or more, all of them have to evade it.
More chance to hit the skill.
And even if they all evaded it, it means they wasted their movement or moving skill for that! :)

am i the only one who thinks the video is so poorly made? some clips dont even match the tip it gives and some of them are just the opposite of the things you should be doing. not to mention the runes and builds which are straight up incorrect
could you tell me the example of each of them what you said?

@@LoLTips first of all starting from 1:18 i think you should have used clips which are similar to thresh looking in a different way and using his hook in another way to prove the point that you can play mind games with the enemies to make them think you are going to hook in the direction you are looking. on the clip at 0:25 you should never use your flay the way suggested in the video beacuse it will be useless since you will flay alistar into you and he will just use Q to knock you up, this applies to champions like lee sin, diana and many more therefore you should always flay them away from you. and on runes and items, if your adc needs peeling and you have no frontline (on very rare occasions) you can go guardian but aftershock is almost always better. on the third opiton on resolve, you should go conditiong only if the enemy is full ad and you will be stacking armor. go bone plating if enemies will use multiple abilities on you and second wind if not. and on the last one never never never go overgrowth its just useless on thresh you get so much more value out of tenacity if the enemy has a lot of cc and revitalize if you are going to itemize into redemption and locket. for items build gargoyl if you need to be a meat shield which isnt what thresh excels at, zeke's if your adc will be using auto attacks after using ult (ex. kalista, lucian, kaisa, vayne, twitch), knights vow if you need armor and protection for your adc; shurelya if your team lacks engage, redemption if the enemy has dps and abilities that lock multiple people down on your team, mikael's if the enemy has long range cc abilities such as lillia R, zoe E, leona R, ashe R, locket if the enemy has a lot of AP. for minor runes you should almost always get attack speed armor MR because HP is realy useless in both early and late game. attack speed if enemy has low range and you go steelshoulders, adaptive if the enemy has a lot of range (you cant auto attack them often) and you build relic shield.
