READ MY PRIMUS ASANA REVIEW: thatfitfriend.com/vivobarefoo...
The Vivobarefoot Primus Asana is designed to be a warm weather-friendly barefoot shoe that can also be used in light active settings.
As a fan of the Vivobarefoot Primus shoe line, I was excited to put the Primus Asana. Granted, the higher price point was a little tough to get behind at first.
In my Vivobarefoot Primus Asana review, I'll cover multiple topics to help you decide if these are worth investing in for your needs.
    0:00 Primus Asana Pros
    2:33 Primus Asana Cons
    4:36 Performance
    7:31 Price
8:22 Who are these best for?
    9:18 Primus Asana Sizing
    10:29 Weight, Drop, and Insole
    10:54 Construction
    12:24 Final Thoughts
Overall, I've enjoyed the Vivobarefoot Primus Asana and the performance they have to offer.
This model somewhat feels like a blend of the Vivobarefoot Primus Lite III and the Geo Court models, which I like for different reasons.
If you want the Primus Asana for warm weather days and some casual training, I could see this model being a good pick for your needs.
Other than that, you could definitely find other barefoot shoes for better price points if you want something for daily wear and serious training.

Great review! I picked up a pair of Asanas in Limestone-size 43. I have five other pairs of Vivos, and 43 is perfect in each case. But for the Asanas, I almost wish I’d sized down. Definitely long, and a little loose around the ankle too. Not so off that I bothered to return them. Just not perfect. They still feel great to walk in. But I can’t help but wonder if 42 would have been a better call.

Hi Jake, first time coming across your video and channel. I’m not sure if you’re still reading and replying to comments, but I want to ask if you can please provide alternatives to the two cons that you’ve mentioned? You mentioned 1) it’s not the best daily wear shoes and 2) not the best for performances. Do you have recommendations for what’s the best for daily wear for all seasons? And another recommendation for what is the best performance? (I did see you have a few videos for best for cross fit, best for lifting, etc, so I can check those videos out.)
    Thanks in advance!

I would just like an advice, usually i wear 45 size,i got primus lite 3 for the last 2 years..they served me well but there is defenetly a look of free space around my toes and heel...its allright but i wish tried size down 44 and now i am thinking to get these in 44 but i wonder how tight is the knit sround the ankle,do you feel that is too tight or its okay? And i see primus lite 3 and asanas habe a pretty similar sizing and shape, any thoughts on sizing down or not?

Thoughts about these Asana's vs Primus Lite Knits? Also - I'm perfect width wise in a 41 of Primus Trail III AW with no real play in the heel - though plenty of toe box (read: length) room. For both Asana's and Knits you talk about extra length and sizing down. If I'm good width wise in 41, I'm a bit nervous to size down even though width is plenty already - tried 40 in the Trail III AW and they were definitely snug, and just barely touching toe on the front. Thoughts on sizing?

I just got a pair for Christmas and I think I should have sized down. I ordered a size 11 (based off the print out chart) but it's really loose unless I wear winter socks with it. I wish I had a place to compare a size 10 before I go through the whole process of returning and reordering...

Are the vivobarefoot primus trail fg ii's good training and running shoes and are they more of a transition shoe than a true barefoot shoe?

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  Před rokem +1

They can be decent for those contexts. I wouldn't call them an in-between shoe even though they do have a bit more sole to them for foot protection while hiking/trail running etc.!
For an in-betweener, I'd look into something like the Lems Primal 2!

Which brand do you prefer fluxfootwear or vivobarefoot ?

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  Před rokem +1

Depends as they're both pretty different from one another. Vivo are true barefoot shoes whiles the Flux have a bit of cushion. If you're new to minimalist shoes, the Flux can be a good option and work as a transition shoe.
However, for true barefoot shoe asks/needs, I go Vivo.

I agree with what you wrote.
The worst thing is that the shoes are not of American or European production.
      They are made in Asia.
      the lowest possible production cost.
All profit for the brand. The quality of the product is not the best at all.
I'm waiting for the time when the shape of the shoe will be "normal".
I don't mind buying expensive as long as it goes with quality and manufacturing in developed countries.
Not for a bowl of rice in Asia.
I try to constructively criticize these shoes, because paradoxically they are the best ...
But expensive because there is no competition
