From the Coldest to the Maximum Possible Temperature on Earth

- Today’s journey is especially dangerous…and unusual. I wanna test my capsule by going all the way from the coldest temperature on our planet to the absolute hottest!
Usually, all atoms vibrate, move around, interact, and do their daily work of making up you, me, and everything else in the universe. They create energy and heat from all that bouncing around. Absolute zero is the temperature at which atoms stop moving…completely! So, naturally, things get really cold - 0°Kelvin. That’s -459.67°F!

SUMMARY:
- A moss piglet or water bear, this microscopic animal might look cute, but they’re pretty much indestructible! They can survive under layers of solid ice, in stone walls, and even in outer space!
- Now that we’ve passed -458°, helium can maintain its gaseous state (a.k.a. it melts into a liquid at that temperature).
- -361°F - gonna need to be extremely careful now because I'm moving through the temperature when oxygen melts into a liquid!
- Now my equipment is showing -128°F. Ah, I see, it's the world record for the coldest air temperature recorded at ground level!
- The coldest habitable place on our planet is the village of Oymyakon in Russia! On January 26, 1926, the temperature dropped to a staggering -96°F!
- Going further, and I see the temperature is 55.4°F. It's a shocking number because it refers to the lowest human body temperature ever recorded.
- My next stop is even hotter than that, at 115°F. That's the highest human body temperature ever recorded.
- Moving out of the “human body range” I've arrived at the 159.3°F mark, which is the highest surface temperature ever recorded on Earth.
- Just a couple of seconds later, and my capsule is traveling through a temperature of 257°F. That's when any Intel CPU processor automatically shuts down.
- The brake pads on a Formula 1 racecar can reach a truly terrifying temperature of 1,380°F!
- The next temperature stop is 1,900°F, and it measures the heat of a volcanic eruption. Well, the lava spewing out of it, to be precise.
- The hottest temperature on Earth was actually human-made! It was created in 2012 by scientists at CERN's Large Hadron Collider. Inside the collider, lead ions were smashed into each other going 99% of the speed of light.
- The resulting plasma that formed had an absolutely mind-blowing temperature of 9.9 trillion °F! That's 250,000 times hotter than the center of the Sun!

You need to start using Celsius instead of Fahrenheit, you guys understand it not the rest of the world. Ask your viewers what’s easier to remember 0°C and 100°C or 32°F and 212°F? I still enjoy your videos but they’ll be more enjoyable if metric units are used.

One winter in Rhode Island, it got down to like -17 and it was windy so it made it feel -26. That’s the coldest temp I’ve ever experienced. A couple of years ago.
I like and appreciate how bright side illustrate things in clear, fun and very understandable way.Good Job!
Thanks for another amazing bunch of knowledge, hope you're gonna make more of this video topic.
I read somewhere that scientists actually found the limit to heat, it was so hot that it couldn't be hot anymore. And it became colder than absolute zero.
To be honest, Halloween week 2019 gave most of the western USA including Utah, temperatures pretty low, lowest at 19* F. because the arctic winds got pushed down to us but I've go a temperature about -12* F. one winter.
Like if it was really cold in Halloween far you!
I just have to say, y'all always do great videos, and love how g rated the videos are, I work on a school bus and show your videos to my kids, they enjoy them too
The lowest temperature that I have ever experienced was on January 30th, 2019. The temperature reached an unbelievable -30F. It was so cold that it would give you frostbite in around 5 minutes. It was in Wisconsin.

Hi sans
HOW DID PEOPLE MAKE SOMETHING HOTER THEN THE CORE OR THE SUN!
The faster particles move, the more heat produced. (That does not include light)
And when the particles collide, it releases extreme amounts of heat.

Who else already lost no nut November
👇🏾
LoL me
when the nut was plentiful, when the nut was tender. Because I'm fasting from the nut, I go outside to clear my mind, but I see a nut tree, I see nuts of every kind. And so I begin to wonder; if fasting the nut was a blunder; should I just go crazy? Should I release the thunder? But oh no! I made a bet that I could resist the nut, and I am not a baller, best believe I'm not paying that 5 dollar. A week left of my journey, for the nut I am yearning. The nut will nut bug me, I'm not a rollypolly, I am a man, the nut will not control me. So December comes blooming, blooming like a daisy. Best believe its not December, yo boy going crazy'.
I forgot it was november

I like these types of videos, but I really like the riddle videos. I hope you do more in the near future.
Theortically speaking, if we were to be in a absolute zero environment could we walk around (not taking into account of hypothermia) or would our body be non-operational since atoms can’t move

The coldest place I’ve ever been to is inside my deep freeze.
one of the coldest temperatures i've been in was when there was a cold snap in anchorage, alaska(where i live) in january 1999. it got down to 29 degrees below zero farenheit. it felt cold enough to freeze the hair off of a barbie doll. the coldest i've ever been in was in northway, alaska in 1970 or 1971. it got down to 50 degrees below zero farenheit. and in december 1989, it got so cold outside that it made the furnace in my house go out. it was so cold in my house that the floors creaked when i walked on them. some water pipes were also frozen. my dad got the furnace working again and it blew nice warm air for over 3 hours straight. the pipes got thawed out and the house didn't feel like snow miser's lair anymore
