Hold down the power button until the screen goes off... Also make sure your computer is the charged

Try the process again that's the best I can do... Carefully follow the steps... Besides what computer is that... I mean the brand and model

Force shutdown the computer using the power button and repeat the process again. Also, pls go through the comments if you run into the same issue. I think someone in the comment success fully solve it afeer same issue

@@SECYBERSAFE Okay....Not a branded PC, but manually installed PC around 5 years old, I think AMD 5i processor and windows 10.

@@SECYBERSAFE I am going to try again on my desktop, but only I cannot see CONTINUE option after I do all these steps. F12 is the boot menu. So I don't know what to do next, so I reversed all changes out of fear. I will try again. F12 is the bootmenu. I created my bootable usb drive for installation using Power Iso software in my laptop.
This all happened 14 hours ago after I created a local login account for my child. After restart, my login (Microsoft pin) disappeared and only my child's name was there. But no password or changing passwords works! I am on it the whole time! Will let you know if successful!
If CONTINUE option is not there after following your steps, can I close down the PC and the start again to change password or should I avoid doing it?

Actually everything went really well but when i try to put new password, it says incorrect password still

If you used a capital letters when seeing the new password, check the caps lock to see if it is on or off... Or repeat the process from the beginning

Sorry about that... But rather than trash your pc, you can factory reset it and load new windows... You would just lose all the contents
