Besides Oranges you can't call Punjab the breadbasket of India as it is not a top crop producer in any of those fields i guess you grew up hearing older Sikhs talk about Punjab as if it was Gujarat or Tamil Nadu it's not its a small state with an economy the size of the Dominican Republic the 15th largest economy in India.
More pods of just you two please
Bro i love your podcasts, your stuff is much more interesting than most of the other podcasts here!! Love the usual set more though, its mellow as hell
How am I just finding out about this podcast?! Wishing you both all the success...love Jasmeet so much already. Great to hear both your perspective on these topics. X
what I got from this : the internet makes you waste your time by making you get mad at things that aren't important.
sounds about right
Yeah do more of these... I loved this episode💙
Different set but the same abuse to Whalid, ah nothing's change
Fantastic stuff guys!! Loved this episode, I really enjoyed hearing your opinions on all of the things relating to our cultures. Pls continue doing this. Shukriya, Bara Mehrbani, etc.
Not sure if you guys will read this but this is the kind of episode I've expected from this podcast, just 2 boyz going over world issues and doing it in a fun and educating way. The guest ones are good too but I feel like you guys shine brighter when there's no one else there. Best ep in a while and more like these!
ugh I love this podcast 💞💞
Wish they upload more soon :(
Wow this podcast was actually informative and educational and loving. Loved it
loved this podcast!
Intro: absolutely amazing
Podcast: absolutely brilliant and entertaining
Thinking about a bunch of white Gucci higher-ups discussing ways they can profit off of the current cultural turmoil/controversy without bothering to even research the Sikh turban’s significance does make make me uncomfortable, ngl
One of my fav episodes💕
It's kinda weird not seeing the OG Just 2 Boyz backround and also we need more frequent podcasts
Haha Wahlids reaction at 11:28 killed me 😂
Thoroughly enjoyed this podcast. And yeah I would love it if you guys talked more about pop culture and current events even if it isn't with in your own cultures
Around 14:00, you talked about you and Wahlid going through some shit where you could either choose to be depressed/feel victimized about those experiences OR turn them into something cool. Can you talk about some of those experiences and go into detail about the inflection points where you went from feeling like a victim to not?
I would love to see more of this type of video!
can you get riz ahmed on the show
I think the shoes are amazing but I think people got mad because during the celebrations in India, Ranveer Singh was trying to get Pharrell involved playing and taking part but he didn't seem to enjoy being there BUT idk maybe it was only during the recordings of it :/ x
What you talk about at 39:00 is totally right, its like if the quebecquois were labelled a terrorist organization because there were acts of terror in the name of french separation.
is that yall on the beach
I really don’t know why people got mad about the adidas holi nmd thing. I thought it was great that we finally got something from a major brand to show people a insight into the culture. So many people who didn’t know what holi was before now know what it is. You don’t see Chinese people get pissed when Jordan brand makes Chinese New Year shoes every year. Hoping to see more holi inspired shoes in the future
muthafuckas disrespect brown people too much. Yet they want our curry and our ganja. No one acknowledges what we went through, they think we were holding hands skipping around with the white man and dont know no struggle.

ALL LOVE FROM WINNIPEG, MANITOBA
Okay, the Adidas shoes are so dope. I am the only Indian person in my school and I constantly have to explain holidays and celebrations. I think that's it's awesome that people can learn about South Asian culture without having South Asian people in their life. The campaign was respectful and so cool! Let's see people interested in South Asian culture without mocking or appropriating it! Also, non-Indian people know about Holi via "the color run" etc. but don't know that it's South Asian. It's good Adidas is giving "credit" to South Asian culture.
Just2WhiteBoyz 🤗
k ive gotta sub to u guys cuz this shits W O K E, and funny!
You have great points- Jas Reign
I enjoyed it, do more
Wait is that jusreign and wahlid at 29:04 ?
I'm not even mad at Adidas for doing the Holi line of shoes. I am mad about Adidas's lack of creativity to create a visually appealing shoes. Those shoes look like garbage.
Swear to god wahlid's beard grew in that hour lol
Do more of these
lmao i thought the beach footage was random stock video then i saw these 2 red and blue dots pop up at 28:28
This is some good stuff
jasmeet doesn't understand why the sikh community was mad. it was because gucci wore the turban as a fashion accessory when its more than that. not because there was white ppl wearing it. its the context
Honestly you guys don't complain when Bollywood guys wear them (disrespectful most of the time) . This way we can be more accepted into the western society . Remember, We don't OWN the turban we just WEAR IT
Ok but on the real can you guys continue talking about things going on around the world that impact the community with just you two?!?
K also, is that Jus and Walid on the beach at 28:32?!
Jus you made the likkle intro beat? Ah ah ah

y’all in cali rn?
I really appreciate your stand on "Cultural Appropriation" that its not a big deal. I also personally beleive that when people do such things where they embrace or try to embrace elements of a foreign culture, their intention is not to "appropriate" it instead its more of a symbol of solidarity which is something that is really needed in today's world.
Is it really a form of solidarity if their intention is to ride on the wave of being woke and aware without actually knowing the cultural context behind what they are advertising. People have been consistently targeted for choosing to outwardly show their religion. I think this would have been better if they were more inclusive in terms of having brown models or models who are actually sikh, I thinks thats were a majority of the backlash came from.
Loved the pod cast and Just saying ....whalid would look awesome w a turban
Some sikhs groups not all, demanded an independent nation on the ground that sikhs constituted a separate community and could not progress as fast as they wanted to in a hindu dominated country. They began to demand a sikh dominated country. This is the khalistan movement and this movement started from 40's not 90's. They viewed that muslims got Pakistan, hindus got india and they didn't got anything, that's the problem. Now there are no khalistani movement in india but there are some in sikh diaspora not all believe in khalistan.
Jus and Wal, our crime stats dropped 10 fold. Thank you.
Jus, your beard looks better than normal. Did you do something different with it?
LET WAHLID TALK
More social commentary plz
Im a sikh.. I want an united India..Its not a good idea to establish a country on basis of religious idealogy. And seperating and making another country why you think that will solve our problem.. Same corrupt sikh leaders, there will be further sub divisions jatts not jatts ramgariha etc..I know what happened in 84 was a genocide and India needs to do alot to provide victims with justice ..but claiming a seperate land not a good idea.. plus pakistan since 1971 wanted to exploit this movment and provide funding and exploit such feeling in sikh community abroad specially canada.. I understand you POV.. but its indian sikhs who should decide to stay with india or not.. you yourself said ur canadian and jagdeep is an canadian leader so I think canadians dont have any right to determine what Indian sikhs want or not.. You guys should focus on your own country bro..I know your intentions are right.. But its upto Indian Sikhs to decide not Canadians..
Thankyou veere
Brother if you form khalistan.. we will further increase problem of sikhs.. You want another 1947 partition? what about those who live far away from punjab in another part of India .. how will uproot their livelihoods and migrate to punjab..what about minorities living in punjab where they will go? alienate sikhs living in harmony pan India, what about those sikhs.. what about me I live in uttar pardesh.. should i uproot my family living here for generations, leaving my non sikh frnds and realtive behind and migrate to punjab? Its easy for people in abroad to ask for seperate land..its us who will suffer..
Im not criticizing you . I just commented to have a debate .. hope youll understand
ps: my grammar is quit poor so plz ignore.
thankyou
I appreciate when my religion and culture is used to bring awareness and empower the community but its a totally different thing when it is exploited for fashion and money, like in the case of Gucci. With "tie and turban day" or "try on a hijab booth" it is a way of making our culture more approachable and its a way for privileged people to use their power in society to do good.
This is too FN funny.
jasmeet, Sant Baba Jarnail Singh Ji khalsa Bhindranwale was a great man but he wasn't exactly a separatist, or a terrorist he even said that "i do not support khalistan nor am i against it, if they wish to give us khalistan we'll take it, if they don't then we'll accept that decision too"
for everyone complaining that gucci was using a turban as an accessory, Sikhs already do that, everyone i know that wears a turban picks and chooses turbans for events and matching with their outfits. Bright pink for weddings or church, Red with suits, dark blue for going out at night, matching turbans with a shirt colour or tie etc etc.
Yeah because they are actually sikhs
GET ZACH ON A PODCAST
Wow I wondered what stopped the gang violence in my city...
u r very good job thank u my freinds
I don't see a problem with wearing a turban per se, but it's use as a fashion accessory, like it's something like a handbag, makes me a bit uncomfortable
As a Muslim woman in UK that day was dumb, like Waleed said not surprised. There was a lot of anti punish Muslim day stuff however I did see videos of a poor woman who was attacked from behind at a doctor's surgery, also some scare mongering of videos totally unrelated saying attacked because of this Day
honestly dont even subscribe to jus but i love the podcast
lmao fuck jus amirite???
nah, love jus, parents and sis still watch your content but i love a good podcast
get some Bengalis on the show for an interview #BENGALIPRIDE #BANGLADESH
Holi isn't an Indian celebration per se it's hindu and more specifically north Indian you won't see Holi celebrated in the hindu South outside of North Indian migrant neighborhoods nor will you see it in the East or Muslim majority, Jain majority or Buddhist majority communities.
With respect to both the Adidas line and the Gucci campaign, I personally, as a Canadian Sikh Woman, found neither offensive. However I see the elements of appropriation in both that have given reason for people to be upset. While there are numerous areas of discussion surrounding appropriation and why certain attempts at being inclusive are viewed as appropriation, I personally see our own collective experience as children of immigrants as an explanation for why these well-intentioned (and sometimes poorly intentioned) campaigns face such backlash. When I speak of the collective experience, I speak of the ways in which as children and teenagers belonging to culture outside of the mainstream we were at some point ridiculed for aspects of that culture. An example would be; being a girl told in high school that her henna'd hands look like she has a disease and then later seeing that same person posting an instagram picture of her at a festival sporting a bindi and henna'd hands. It is so easy for those that ridiculed to co-opt those aspects that they once ridiculed without any understanding or recognition of why what they did was hurtful or wrong. If that same (fictional) girl on instagram gave a shout out to the girl in high school she made fun of while sporting her henna'd hands and bindi, I think that element of hurt and appropriation would be adequately addressed, but that's simply not the case. It's this collective feeling and experience (IMHO) that causes these campaigns to face backlash as it's a reminder of what we were once ridiculed for being appropriated for gain without any recognition of that ridicule.
With you guys on cultural appropriation. It's one of the most overblown issues on the internet.
I'm all for asian culture to be tastefully represented elsewhere.
Nah
Litt bro
Don't speak on my behalf! Lol
Hey there ❤️
a lot of people misunderstood what you were talking about when it came to the topic about hindus being racist. just because some poeple from a certain group act a certain way, doesnt mean all of them are the same.
get zach pionaaaa on
we just might
Put this on apple podcast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
can we make it Just3Boyz
okay.
hold tf up, there's gucci turbans ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? instant cop
okay icon
Jasmeets missing the whole point seems like he's forgotten what his turban is and what it stands for. In Sikhism turbans are worn religiously not as a fashion statement, if Gucci a brand that is known worldwide and they don't do a little research before stealing from a different culture/religion and understanding what it stands for before slapping it on one of their models there's really no excuse for this and they should respect instead of trying to profit off of it and maybe issue a public apology because no way in hell is this right in anyway straight up.
But as a sikh u should be forgiving and just accept it as ignorance. Gucci obviously didn't try to hurt sikh sentiments, they ignorantly displayed the turban. Now it seems like sikhs are claiming to have copyright on that specific style of turban when sikhs are known to have different styles of turbans throughout history. We just look like whiners tbh, its a free world, they didn't hurt anyone directly, people just getting caught in their feelings. This is how muslims started getting a bad rep because their perceived as too orthodox. People joke about Jesus all the time, do u see christians getting caught in their feelings on the news?
But the turban isn't only exclusive to Sikhs. The turban predates Sikhi. Many cultures such as Arabs, Iranians, Afghans, and Indian Hindus have been wearing the turban long before Sikhs so we shouldn't be restricting it to one religious group. I personally don't feel offended by Gucci's actions. Turbans were for the most part worn for fashion.
@jusreign wheres ur dhari at sengh

Oh no, Wahlid and Zach are no longer living together? Have they broken up? :(
Jusreign should be the nezt prime minister of Canada
How do you know if Ajit pai practices hinduidm I doubt he does
Burberry already makes Hijabs
11:25 Jasmeet teenagers today love rap music lots of it has the n word a lot imagine a suburban white teen who gets it into his vocabulary and says the n word to an older black person who has faced actual racism and discrimination when he was younger from that word...is it still the listeners fault even though the speaker had no intent of ill will?
FYI, I got nothing against Sikhs and any minorities in India. In fact, I want Sikhs to have justice. What bothers me is that so many people blame all Hindus for the Sikh Genocide or any atrocities that happened to minorities and the same people are the ones who are ready to defend Muslims after any terrorist attacks(I'm totally okay with that). People are always ready to dismiss the Hindu faith, by bringing up the caste system and the issues of racism. I'm not gonna deny all that, but that's not the only thing in our religion there is so much more that is positive.
Well said!
#guccireign2018
I think I like Gucci turban and those white models were looking pretty normal
