Every ruler is unbanned in MD and they have tomahawk and they do nothing.
best i got so far is i use is Tempest as an extender with my stupid 60 card plane pile and occasional search.
It's not great but it does stuff lol
you also just can't compare master duel format to TCG due to the existence of Maxx "C"
it is a different format so it's technically possible they do something in the tcg not likely but still possible.
@@LordBeau even in games where Maxx C isn’t a factor it’s not that good. There’s just other better decks out there. Trust me I tried to make them work.
My Plunder patroll deck loves tidal.

The reason he still called the deck only okay even after its performance was because he noticed how much the non-engine carried his wins.
Other decks can make the same boards easier as well.

Well that kinda sums up the entire format really. Being able to play a lot of non-engine is what makes a deck good nowadays.
Yeah that's a lot of decks these days who's entire going second gameplan is "use non engine to stop my opponent on turn 1, so I can do my turn 1 combo on turn 2"
Which in turn, means that the format sucks.

As an Odd-Eyes player, I adore the fact that the Rebellion Overlord option was included, it's always so hilarious turning to level 7s into 9k damage

It really is unfortunate that cards like the Rulers are stuck on the banlist for so long that the formats where they would be good without being game-breaking or disruptive have long gone. And I doubt adding more Rulers to the pool will make a meaningful difference, considering their own effect restriction.
It's very funny how "DAD" and "the daddies" refer to entirely different cards in this game.

Did you know that the Dragon Rulers can be splashed into Kashtira? Not only is there level 7 synergy, there's also attribute synergy. Fenrir is Earth fodder for Redox, Ogre is Water fodder for Tidal, Risehart (and detached Shangri-Ira) is Fire fodder for Blaster, Unicorn is Wind fodder for Tempest

Its more of the opposite. Kashtira being an engine in dragon rulers
You can probably jam some fenrirs for extension but other than that it just sounds like a crappier version of both kash and ruler
This sounds a lot better in master duel with Ariseheart still legal. Imagine detaching and reattaching Rulers for searches every turn.
I tried it with tempest before the second wave of Kash support just because it was a seven and I was using some random red-eyes cards and it worked ok

Meanwhile on MD Rose Rulers are making the same Dis Pater Baronne boards every other synchro deck can make.
But this deck loses to every handtrap and is very inflexible

I've been enjoying them as unbrickers in master duel dragon link, but they definitely wouldn't be worth it if we had wyverburster, the third quick launch and an extra 2 saronir.
I cant wait for the next Payne to start doing their 'X amount of days until good dragon ruler support'.

Literally full power on MD. It just costs way too many URs or I would've messed around with them. Just missing Super Rejuvination but that hopefully stays the case.
There’s some pretty solid utility but when you think about it that’s all they kind of are. A pretty solid toolbox to get where you need to go that if the opponent has the right interruption then you’re doomed. Then again with enough interruption any deck would be stopped in their track. Still seems pretty fun though.
Nothing more satisfying that seeing a summon limit resolve 😊

To be fair, you could actually just throw in the Armed Thunder level 10 as a one-of just to get the quick effect pop as well.
in order to fix dragon rulers being underwhelming i think they should print light and dark dragon rulers that help patch up some of their weaknesses im sure nothing could possibly go wrong doing that :)))))))))

I got into it in highschool now 28 I think I'ma try magic the gathering you don't see s poly for 5 in magic or branded do you? Game is less diverse less expensive look at Pokemon or Vanguard way more exciting more playerbase I bet Dueling Book has 1k peak players think about it that # can be smaller soon will be smaller.

YEAAAAAHHH I've been running the Armed Dragon/Dragon Ruler stuff since they unbanned the deck. They also work surprisingly well with Kashtira cards I learned
Meawhile in MD, ALL Dragon Rulers are unabanned, with acces to Tomahak... And it flopped. IF these were released like, 3 or 5 years ago, they would've have a chance to be relevant again, but clearly they spent more time in prison than they should

they were rares also in og prints. xD, We all know why they never came of. Just look at shs,..or how quick and sus unchained got hit. We have no poor people jokes for reasons in ygo rn. Every cheap deck gets hit while expensive stay.

@@xatuyou8045 Technically also Maxx C, but it doesn't interrupt their plays, just gives you a bigger stick to punch them with the next turn, which is still quite good considering the importance of Priestess + spellbook of power + the master in the mirror, not to mention spiritualist BS just destroying all special summons; there's a reason why the rulers were never tier 0, or why in HAT Spellbook decks are still top tier even with nerfs.

I've been playing them with Horus engine cause matching attributes are cute and you can otk going second very easy and all your cards are very good with the new Horus being a free send to no targeting send a card opponents control and be replaced with new field spell

I’ve been running snake-eyes salamangreat with one of the first cards I ever got Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos.
A smol world would fit perfectly there as well
you know, it may be the non-engine that won it, but the Dragon Rulers got you there. never forget what they did for the win
honestly the home for rulers is probably just Dlink extenders or as support for their respective elemental decks like Blaster in fire decks, rather than as their own dedicated deck

Ive never been this early holy shit
I've been working on a water dragon cluster deck for like the past week, specifically for the fireking and snakeyes. Ive tried labrynth with rollback and bonding-dho to summon water dragon cluster. Ive tried pure water dragon with trade-in and sacred sword of seven stars with a small dino pack. Kairyu-shin & water dragons, but i think the most consistent so far has been water dragon/icejade. Mermails are good too. The bonding/chemical archetype needs support so badly. 😅 I'd appreciate any help if anyone more well-versed in ice jade than i am could help me out. I know theres better anti-pyro/fire decks, but water dragon and water dragon clusters effects are really good
New series idea: do a tournament of the competing builds for an archetype to determine what's best. This is one that could use it, there are a million flavors of armed dragon/kashtira/dragon ruler/rose dragon/rank 7 combo decks.

you cant banish thundras with the rulers or use them for the discard effects so not really

did you consider super rejuvenation at all? It seems like it would be perfect for drawing into handtraps
unirinocally its to slow for modern format. every card in hand has to be handtrap or gas, for that to be good you have to run 20 handtraps cyberse style, and this deck can't. Might as well pick a heatsoul turbo deck then.
It's crazy that MBT forgot about this card, it has so much synergy with dragons this format.
