THE TITLE IS SO REAL
Hot take: QP feels so sweaty cuz ranked sucks and there's not much REAL reason for ppl to play it, so all the ranked (skilled) players flood QP in recent years cuz they might as well play QP if there's no real difference between it and ranked. This is how we ended up in a world where QP is sometimes SWEATIER than ranked matches.

Because you're not in control of your win or loss. Winter (dev) on twitch commented about the fact that forced win/losses are real and stomps are by design.
People just need to legitimately stop trying to force a win in a game that feels unbalanced, just swap to a chill character and enjoy the loss and go next you will legitimately get matched into a game the enemy team has no hopes of winning.
I blame leaving penalties for why quick play is so sweaty. If blizzard is gonna treat quick play like ranked and ban people for leaving, it only makes sense that the players are also going to treat it like ranked. I myself use quick play as an excuse to be bad at the game and then when my teammates call me out for making questionable plays I say “it’s quick play bro”
The leaving penalties dont even work i was joining a game that started allready was loading got into game for half a second then was kicked for afk didnt even have time to move. Then bam 20min penalty. Then another time i was clearly playing the game shooting the enemy team in the middle of map then screen says you will be removed for afking while im moving and shooting

I find it hilarious how serious people take it, literally had a game today where a Kiri went “omg support is the only stable role” and I told them to relax, then next game apparently they were on the enemy team??? And went super try hard and talked trash after winning and I genuinely didn’t recognize it was the same person until I looked at my recent players list lmfao, qp tryhards are such good cheap entertainment
I don't think so. Alot of these QP are jus sweating but kinda mid at the game. Highest I got was diamond but i know a master above player when i see one. They're normally chill tbh i can tell by their skill. The fucking tryhards are the ones trying their best in QP. My theory is that they do not dare go ranked as in fact they will be put into silver and their ego can't take it.

I really don't know if QP is THAT sweaty because people like to egotrip on 'steamrolling casuals", or if the issue is that the matchmaking isn't top notch (because duh, if you want quick matches, the matchmaking can't be picky).
Either way, Comp does feel more balanced, but I've been experiencing Diamond players that just don't match the skill level. Rank resets coudln't come sooner
Played a qp match earlier and the enemy team had the Winston tracer sombra comp
I had the same team comp too a few hours ago. I usually never counterswap and just play whatever I pick at the begging of the game, but playing Widow against those 3 would simply be a miserable experience, so I went torb and ruined the game for everyone lol.
This is literally the same as my comp games... the part where you have to sweat and cry and bleed to win not the skill levels

Why Does Quick Play Feel Like the Grand Finals? because the mmr is seprate from comp and the other top 500 players chill in qp so you only get matched aganist try hard masters and other trying gm the chilling top 500 players are in master mmr chilling but because you keep trying to win you never drop mmr and play against other players with similar win losses
Most of my quick play games end up having Bastion, Mauga, and an unkillable bap.

Had a game yesterday on Havana. I played a great game of Moira. (Like 7k heals with over 20 elims and maybe 5 deaths). Our soldier warched me throw ONE bad dmg orb (i threw it behind their team cause our tank was pushing so i though theyd walk into it. Didnt happen) and he immediately stops playing, starts shooting at me, and when i asked why, he just said i was horrible at the game. Idk why people take it so seriously. MRPOOPYPANTS if you see this, just relax yeah?
I feel bad for people like that how sad does life gotta be for you to get mad at a game

Okay just saying none of the stats you dropped fill me with confidence. 7k heals isn't a lot its not terrible but not good, and talking about your moria elims is suspect. Not defending him throwing just saying there is a chance that you were in fact not playing a great game of Moria.

Once everybody has their rank that they want to end the season with but don't want to risk losing it, competitive players go to qp to get their fix

True, OW 1 player here and i got all my gold guns i wanted mainly for supports and i've never touched comp in OW 2 because i value my mental health @@LexiTheHellhound

They had an Ana, you had a Moira. As a Tank, there ain't much you can do when Ana's hitting her shots and landing well-timed nades.
As a tank in OW2, your fate is often left to the choices of others, but you are often blamed for any outcome and the choices of others as well. If they go Ana Kiri and your healers don't mirror, much less switch, you will lose and die in every team fight- but at the end of the day everyone will say "MTD MTD Tank diff It's Tank diff I'm afraid". If you speak up about the state of tank, people will say "its your job the absorb ult and cooldowns, you diving a healer with nano and dying is balanced and good", but if you die absorbing them and your team dies too because they couldn't aim or didn't have the bravery or game sense to jump on the opportunity, it's once again your fault. There's truly no winning. I have too much self love and respect to let a 13-30 year old talk down to me on a game, when I know they likely have some form of psychosis and are projecting it onto me, so I just stopped playing.
Side note: I find it really funny when OW players were mad at the Orisa skin, but then were also mad at the Mercy skin. They ask for more diversity in which heroes are given the spotlight in terms of skins, but then got mad that their favourite didn't get one, and then Blizzard, seeing this, made another Mercy skin since people didn't like the diverse hero pick and they got mad again lol. Like just say you want a Genji, Soldier or Cassidy skin and shut up lol. I'm so tired of gamers constantly trying to maintain some moral high-ground and getting mad when it didn't serve their personal agenda's. Like sorry dude, but when you ask for more diverse hero skin's, you get it and it won't always be what you like. Maybe, just maybe, you like playing certain characters and wanted THOSE CHARACTERS to get a skin and didn't CARE for when other characters got them. Gamers are truly some of the most hollow, spineless people out there who don't truly know what they want lol.
I would get into how the attitudes of gamers from different regions of the world have a direct connection to their cultural and socio-political background and how that's reflected in games like Overwatch and why it gives us a good idea of where the consumer side of problems come in the gaming industry, but that would make this comment way too long lol.
That first part is so true.
I play mostly sigma, a hero with no mobility. Which basically means if your team dies you wont be able to retreat and will always also die.
It doesnt matter how much damage I block, if my team sees I have a negative kd at the end of match they go "tank diff", despite the fact that I gave them plenty of space. They just couldnt follow up on anything.
Same with Bastion, my dps main. If it goes well you shred, but if your whole team is bad, you are almost guaranteed to die every teamfight since you cant escape.
Doesnt matter if I didnt get a pocket l, killed their tank almost everytime and have double the damage of our second dps. I have a lot of deaths its always my fault somehow.
Its so tiring...

Buddy, if you think north american QP is tryhard, you have no idea what south american is like. Back when I played rainbow six siege we used to change servers to north american/european because we had way easier matches and ranking up easily
