    You know what's also a corporation? Half as Interesting. And we don't care about you™.
    That's why we exploit our viewers by having them suggest video topics to us, instead of just doing it ourselves. We'd rather spend time in our money jacuzzi instead. If we use the topic a viewer suggests, all we do is send them a free HAI t-shirt. Great deal! If you're interested in providing us with free labor, suggest an HAI topic here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfUdlvw6YgU44J8AnM2U_ZvRMyvh_CUM51LYSqF5nYJB9d1-w/viewform?usp=sf_link
    Also in the vein of a corporation that only cares about money (and not about you, or anyone else), turns out another CZcamsr made a video about this, like, a week ago. That video wasn't the inspiration for this, and I'd never watched it, but I'm guessing that it was the inspiration for the viewer who suggested this topic. We did do, as now always do, a quick search through to see that no channels with high-audience overlap have done a similar video recently, and saw this video, but I, in my infinite wisdom, completely missed that the other video was uploaded very recently, assumed it was a much older one, and I hadn't heard of the channel, so I figured it wouldn't be repetitive for our audience or cannibalistic for the other creator. If you want to see that other video, which goes into a little more detail, here it is: czcams.com/video/Xq8H0GHU8AQ/video.html

    • @androlsaibot
      @androlsaibot Před 4 lety

      "Weimar Republic" can stand for "time of the Weimar Republic", but it doesn't have to. A republic is maybe something different than a country, but republic does not mean time, and there are enough countries whose names are "X Republic".
      By the way, I didn't know, but according to Wikipedia, the term "German Empire" stands for the Deutsches Kaiserreich (1871-1818), while "German Reich" stands for the whole period from 1871 to 1945.
      But when talking about a specific year, say 1900, it just doesn't matter what we call the country, Reich or Empire, it's just the same country.
      The people at the time didn't use the name Weimarer Republik at all, and they didn't use it for the time in which they were living. A similar thing could be "Vichy France", that's also a retrospective name.

    This brings in so many issues ranging from taxation, borders, corporate law, and corporate statehood. Theoretically this would mean that Australia is the largest corporation in the United States but it also means if the country were to ever file bankruptcy; the United States could legally annex Australia by seizing its assets and holdings as to pay off debt. But on the other hand, this brings greater questions of international laws. As Australia has been its own state prior to incorporating. This seems like a messy decision that could go either way depending on the future.

    So basically Australia created a corporation for the purpose of collateralising its assets into a corporation for the purpose of borrowing money from US banks.... According to corporate banking law the creditor of the corporation owns a lean on the assets of said corporation. So if Australia defaults on its debts then who really owns Australia?

I honestly thought it was some kind of weird joke, or meme, that I was unaware of. When i finally found out that people legit thought that, a couple years ago, I was floored! I've been meaning to look more into it ever since, and haven't gotten around to it as of yey. So glad i stumbled across thia video, though. At least it will give me some answers.
