This is Brandon's first time driving at a drive-thru during a driving lesson. This can be quite tricky. Learner drivers first ever drive thru experience.

When I was learning to drive, we never did this, or filled up the car's fuel or any of the basic car stuff. Such minor things that learners should go through with their instructors
@Jesse Profka Nah its more a comment on driving instructors just getting you ready to pass a test, compared to actually driving like normal people.
@Jesse Profka he's talking about the instructor never tells you the day to day stuff in your car only the test stuff so nothing about where you can park (parking permit stuff) how to pay parking how to fuel up how to go through drive throughs how to board ferries etc.
Ive drove to fuel it up but I just sat in the car. But its probably quite easy to do those things.
I never knew how to fill up a car until after my test and went with my father. I feel like this should be taught by the instructor mandatory. Even talking about the different fuels and how to tell how to spot them to make sure you're using the right ones.

I watched this guy's first lesson months back when he had all the nerves, and all of a sudden he's now driving like a pro, and negotiating over who's paying for his latte as well!
Still watching these even though I'm full licence of almost two years now. But have to give credit where it's due, this is The absolute best resource for driving information/tips/tutorials for learners. Unmatched.

Same, but I watch em more for entertainment. Sometimes he says something, which make me go: "Ahh I did not think of that, that's a good point" But I feel pretty confident as a driver, and the way I have been taught. I think I have had my license for about 4 years for car, and for truck about 9 months.

I can finally say I’m still watching even as a full license holder… I passed today first time with 0 faults!
Passed a month ago and icl cos I’ve driven sm I’ve littlerally learnt more in that time than I did in any lessons tbh
Passed my test on Monday! One thing I did to keep myself from getting nervous, is to keep repeating messages in my head.
"Don't rush! Go only when it is safe."
"Don't stare at the car in front, look at your surroundings and try to focus past the car in front."
"If you make a mistake, don't ponder too much on it and focus on the present, as it can't be changed."
Another tip from my experience:
The examiner I had was chatty, try to strike a conversation with them and talk about something unrelated to driving, if you're too nervous. It helped calm me down. (Only do this, if you're not in any situation)

Finally passed today with 5 minor faults. Really looking forward to the freedom and mobility now. Was really nervous in the lead up to my test, but these videos massively helped to embed some of the understandings and principles around driving and some of the more awkward situations you might encounter. A combination of driving lessons with my instructor and playing these videos back in between lessons and driving without instructor was a great way to learn how to drive over the past year. Big thanks for all the advice and videos you do and have recommended your channel to others. Best of luck to all learning to drive and keep safe out there.

I did drove through a drive thru after getting my driver’s license. The town that I lived in doesn’t have any drive thru restaurants. I have to drive just a little bit over 40 minutes to the nearest one.
I have bought the ultimate driving course last month and it's been really useful so far, in combination with watching mock tests and stuff. But could you add more "practical" videos?
Like going through a drive thru, getting fuel, changing a wheel, securing your car incase of accident/breakdown, the monthly/quarterly checking we should be doing with our cars, things like that.
Like I want to pass my test, obviously, but I also want to be a safe and confident driver and I do feel like these would be useful.
Also, I would like some captions on the videos and/or transcripts of them, please. I think it would make the course more accessible.

Love all the video helped me out only passed Wednesday with 5 minors so I hope all the learner drivers watch the videos as they will learn a lot from them for their test day. Hope Brandon pass 2
I Passed my driving test first time last week with 2 examiners in the car with me. My advice for anyone don’t be nervous and I know it ain’t easy not to be. But just chill and drive. Keep looking in your mirrors is a big tip. If your a good driver you’ll pass it. So make sure your ready to go for it when you do. And my manoeuvre was drive into a bay & I was fu*king it up but I knowed I was doing wrong so I reversed out and drived back in I never panicked. There’s a lot of anxiety & stress about it. But just be calm. My sister failed 6 times over stress and nervous.
my driving instructor was doing something similar....
here in Romania we have 15 included driving lessons and the last 3 of them my instructor dedicated this time to teach me basic car maintenance (how to check oil, how to check tire pressure stuff like that), we went to a gas station and taught me how to fuel up and in the last lesson we went out of the city so I can understand a little bit how the car handles at greater speed (in the city I was never allowed to exceed 40 kmh top speed).
So yeah....trust me, these little things strenghten your confidence when you have your driving test and will make you a better driver.
Because a car is not just a "thing" in which you climb in and run it around the city, a car is a family member and if you take good care of it she will return the favor and keep you safe on the road.
I have seen a lot of drivers which never change tires on their cars or make an oil change and drive until the engine practically seize up! That"s horrific for the poor car :(
I don't know how others are, but for me the car is super important and I do my best to keep it clean and in perfect mechanical condition.

Congrats Liam! Have my own test in Dublin next week and also going through all Pin's videos as well, I think they will help a lot as the rules of the road in the UK are very similar to here in Ireland. Only thing I get confused with is the speed being in miles instead of kilometers haha

My driving test is on the 22nd of October, and I’m nervous as hell, I’m sure you feel the same, and it’s easy to say “keep calm”, but I wouldn’t stress, just remember how far you’ve come, and you’ll smash it buddy! I had my second lesson yesterday. So 4 hours in all. My instructor said he can't believe I'm only on my 2nd lesson. I did round abouts, reverse park, junctions. I told him binge watching these in lockdown and while waiting for my provisional to come back had helped massively.
Amazing progress. I haven't been in driving lessons yet. But I have practiced with my father (I am from Spain, so that it's ilegal here). I'm going to a driving school when I turn 18. But in my 2nd lesson with my father I was in a parking :)
Now I have also done all the stuff you did. I have also reach 80km/h.
Seriously I have had 5 lessons and still doing right hand turns but to be fair I keep speeding and I keep messing up in 1 of the right hand turns

Just had my exam on the 11th and on the way to my exam my instructor brought me to McDonald’s and bought me what I wanted, let’s just say the alloys almost got some scratches after that I realised driving on the road is easy 😂😂😂 I passed with two minors ☺️

On my test I had to do a parallel park down the beach on a bank holiday Monday I was waiting for a chance to do the manoeuvre for around 5 mins. Most stressful time of my life

My first time going through a drive thru was a maccies with two order lanes side by side and I overheard the speaker on the other lane and started shouting at it until the guy comes over the speaker on my side
I’ve been driving for 4 years and I still hate driving around Bentley bridge when it’s busy!
I’m glad they’ve changed the drive thru so it goes all the way round tho. Makes it a bit better
I haven't used a drive-thru since maybe 2005. I'm one of those weirdos who prefers to park up and walk in, gives you more time to think about what you want rather than feeling hassled in a queue of cars.
But I live within 3 miles of various drive-thru places and I'm going to force myself one day. I will.
I've also totally forgotten how to reverse bay park because I simply don't do it. They let people like me hold driving licences, we are doomed.

After a few months of lessons I drove my sisters' car (with insurance and L-plates dont worry!) to McD's drive-thru and ended up overshooting the window where I had to pay... Reversed before the next car arrived :)
Lucky you Brandon, in my days I just had 80 minutes of driving to learn from 0 and pass the test.

I passed my test in Sweden, not sure if I it’s ok for me to drive in the UK. I would probably get a couple of red faults lol
