- This is not good bhopping, I just made this to show my friends why I had a lot of hours in CS:GO.

I decided to record a bhop session of mine, I do not claim to be good at bhopping here, I just auto bhop to have fun, bhopping without auto is fine for me but I find those video rather boring to watch, but if a normal bhop video is requested then I'll be more than happy to record something like that.

This was something I made when I had 800 subscribers or so and just wanted to show my friends what I did from time to time, it was nothing serious, if I had known so many people would be interested I would of at least worked for a better run with maybe a half impressive time.

Is it just me, or is auto bhopping (since the actual thing is too hard for me) frickin fun
prohit marker Not really possible, as the mechanics within CS:GO deny the inputs if too many are done in a short period of time. The only way is to time your scrolls is right before you land. And anyway just spamming the hell out of the mwheeldown/up will not teach you the timing required to hit each jump correctly.
Another thing to note is that when bhopping "normally" after 299 vel. time a crouched bhop jump to maintain your speed or practice to understand what the dramatic 300->270ish velocity will do to your timing. D2 is also a great example of why this isn't a great idea. Type in cl_showpos 1 in console and it'll display pos: x, z, y. You'll notice that the y axis or how high the ground is in consideration is with flat changes very frequently in d2 because it isn't a flat map. This makes bhopping that much harder but it all comes down to timing and practice. (A bit cliche but what am I going to do.
+prohit marker For me I was trying to make an explanation for newer bhoppers who might not grasp the reasoning behind why they miss a hop. The D2 reference was to show the differences in height variance. Lets take Nuke for example. which has a linear map for the entire spawn and outside. Missing a hop on d2 happens more frequently than on Nuke because of how inconsistent the ground is. Given that it's still a good map, the nuke example may have aided my explanation more. And as for Launders. Its a great guide for new people. Although having 4 years of Source and a handful on Csgo. I'm pretty confident in my bhopping skill. Still nowhere near the level of Lolyou or Phoon. T.T

no one legit bhops anymore, it takes no skill. You're going slow as fuck so it's easy to control, and boring. Everyone now uses autohop because it takes a lot more skill to control up to 1700 velocity and it's way more fun and competitive.

Mfw people think auto is cheating. If you play CS:S bhop, its hard to find a server that doesn't have auto as the default. "normal" mode is auto and "legit" is scroll wheel.
Auto bhop doesn't really take any skill away. It just removes the rng-ness of scrolling. When you scroll not every jump is perfect, so you don't always gain the same amount of speed, which you do not have control over. I get the idea that people are comparing it to bhop on normal non-bhop servers, but that's just silly. Bhop servers are already different than normal cs:go/cs:s whether you are using auto or not. 99% of bhop maps are probably not even possible with standard cs:go settings as they were not intended for that.
Hope that some of you guys will be a little more open minded instead of dismissing a run as cheating if they're using auto. Its still just as impressive in its own way.
Manual bhop, such as bhoping in 1.6 without script takes real skill. Jumping with script is not bhoping, it is auto-jumping.
