After buying several handguns, it's a no brainer to go with the all metal/alloy hammer fired DA/SA trigger. EDIT: I agree SPN, CZ NEEDS the Rami 2.0. My 2075 RAMI is an absolute TANK!!!!!
CZ is amazing all around imo. These are fantastic out of the box and plenty of options for "personalization." Non-Omega is fantastic with a simple trigger / spring update, such as Apex or M-Carbo...both very reasonable. You can always go big with CZ Custom or Cajun Gunworks... The P01 is a gun for a lifetime imo. The P07 is another solid choice if you want to save a little weight.

My home defense gun is a CZ P-07 which is the polymer frame sibling to the P-01. It's an amazing firearm. Was thinking of picking up a P-01 or a 75 Compact PCR which is the aluminum frame version of the P-01 w/o the rail. Just to get that classic aesthetic

Good honest review. Love my p01 non omega. Armory craft trigger and some cajun parts makes it a good option. Agree on the recoil. Accuracy has been great for me.
I picked up a 75BD Police from my local shop. It came with an armorers tag from an action job. Double action pull is 5lb 8oz. It shoots amazing. My brothers SP01 beats it so I'm going to need one of those also.
If they made this in a striker fired but still feels the same way this would be a great EDC. So we dont have to switch from striker to Sa/Da. That grip is great.
Have to admit, i was nervous since i know you have a ton of striker fired micros. Wasnt sure how youd fair with a compact hammer fired beauty. Love my p-01 omega. Agree that, due to size, i carry it in the winter. Looking forward to your holster designs!

That’s the pistol I wanted, but I also wanted something I could use for carry and competition, so I went with a Beretta 92x (difference in grip length is 0.55in).
They make the CZ PCR but I think the CZ P-01 is the best gun they make. Other option I looked at for a long time is beretta M9 and I think it’s better for a suppressor
It's a really nice handgun but I think a bit lighter stock DA trigger pull could be a little lighter. The trigger has a bit of an odd rolling break. A little Cajun could help.
it is an amazing gun i have it for a year and i love it the ergonomic in this pistole is absolutely fantastic but be careful don't dryfire it cause thee pin is goanna break by time
Spn I was just wanting to get a p01 and get some sweet grips for my winter carry and or home defense. I love my hellcat and my hellcat pros which are my edcs but I wanna get into the DA/SA game. Great minds think alike ;)
When are you releasing the holsters? I'll pick one up. Big fan of you and the channel, however my tastes went from subcompact/micro/pocket pistols to compact full size pistols and some rifles. When I saw you had a video on this I was super excited. Glad you got to experience this pistol, I picked up a P01 (non omega) and I truly love it. Upgrade to Dawson Precision sights, you won't regret it. Great video.
Come to the dark side of da/sa. So much better for appendix carry. If you really want to be impressed by a gun. Try an LTT Px4 storm compact carry. Outstanding
Reviewing a pistol that’s been out of production for more than two years now (CZ still makes the P-01 but not the Omega version) isn’t the strongest move.
Definitely one of my favorites! For anyone wondering im not finished with this handgun. I am going to eventually swap out the grips, put in a CGW trigger in it and most likely send it out and get the slide cut, for both port and window and maybe optic cut.
My Fiance has her P-01 omega urban grey. Suppresor height night sights and threaded barrel from the factory. It's beautiful
The omega is discontinued but that system is a complete trigger edition that allows you to run deckocker or safety. The regular p01 is decocker only.

It's aluminum framed. The only CZ compact that's steel is the safety only, 75b compact.

I have a P-01 and have found that most of the holster for a Sig P320 compact will fit it pretty nicely.
I carry a P01 sometimes. Great gun.

Great, great gun! One of my favorites! That being said, I added the Cajun Gun Work trigger kit, improved night sights, better VZ grips and a TLR-7A.
You should totally review a Sig P229 at some point. I have a 226 for home defense, and it's completely elevated my standard expectations for guns

If anyone is considering buying one, dont get the omega, get the standard version. Trigger is a ton better and the aftermarket options are better.
They no longer sell the omega version anyway since the Shadow 2 compact came out.
