- I take my lucky charm ( my daughter) with my coyote hunting as she has never got to see a coyote working in to the call. It was her lucky day. On our second setup it all came together. I was using a savage bolt 17 and a fox pro fusion electronic caller.
I raised my daughter alone since she was 3 years old. I did everything with her, she is now 25 and married and is an awesome marksman. It is refreshing to see a father and daughter spending valuable time together and bonding.

Awesome hunt. I purchased the A-17 couple 3 years ago. Haven't hunted with it like I want. Get'n crippled and can't do the woods very well anymore. I'm waiting on a hip & back fusion. You make it look wonderful. I love my A-17. ...Alan in 🇨🇱

Great hunt. Central Illinois here also, between Champaign and Danville. Lots of coyotes outside my back door. Just bought a 17 a few days ago. Can't wait to see what it will do. Your vid has me pumped.
You are not far from me. I always treat my coyote hunts with the 17 like deer hunts. When you shoot the yotes , keep it tight behind the shoulder and you will never have a problem.
They seem to be golden jackals.

Awesome hunt man and you got to share it with you daughter. I just bought that gun a few year ago . shot a huge racoon about 100 yrs. anchored him. Love that little cal. Very accurate for a rim fire cartage. I didn't think it had that much punch to anchor coyotes but you proved it. Now I'm going to have to get after those yotes. LOL

Okay great because I may have the same rifle. Mine is the Savage 93r17 I take it out woodchuck hunting and always hope a coyote shows up but I've only gotten one while deer hunting with my 30-30. I need to get a good electronic call.

@@TRIBEDRAKE I guess the coyotes didn't get the memo that the cartridge is inadequate. You've sure taught me something because I believed all the talk about it wasn't enough myself. In my state you can't hunt public land coyotes with a centerfire when it's not deer season so that definitely is good to know for a lot of people who would hunt them if they thought it was reasonable.
