CONGRATULATIONS to these successful companies. There will be more growing food companies for sure because of the growing number of young Filipinos engaging in businesses ONLINE, getting contacts thru more than 11 Million Filipinos Overseas and the assistance of Commercial Attaches worldwide. The AGRI. Sector and Food and Bewerage Industries , I think has a big potential, today that there is a big deficit of Trade Balances with Countries exporting to the Philippines. AURAPHIL thanks for sharing. GOD bless!

It's like, "Oh, I did not know there's a product like that." or "I can get a cheaper item or service at this country" thus eliminating monopolies, competitive prices worldwide and no boundaries in terms of culture, economies and populations.

If u go to Jollibee in other countries u can see mostly Filipinos eating and only few locals. What if there are few OFW can they really compete? That's also the reason why the government can't help us stay and work in the Philippines they don't want even to raise the minimum wage to lure Filipinos back and work in the Philippines. The more Filipinos working outside the country the more dollar they can get.

OFWs contribute to the economy of any country. Not only does the Philippines have a large number of overseas workers; in fact, we only rank eighth in terms of sending overseas workers. India, Mexico, Russia, and China are the top 4 countries, while Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Ukraine complete the top 7. It is natural for our local companies to go abroad because they knew they would have a stepping stone or buyer outside because of our OFWs. It is also a good thing because Filipinos will have a comfort product that they can buy away from home, and it will also help our product be exposed internationally, like what is happening to Jollibee today.

Filipino companies are moving up while Chinese companies are folding badly. The Philippine population is growing at a healthy rate while the Chinese population is dying with their destructive severely disproportionate age groups. The Philippines has good control of its lessening pandemic while China’s pandemic is growing much worse with its deadly variances, and this despite China’s unsuccessful attempt to spread them around the world. The Philippines is blessed by God while He punishes China severely for its pride and atheism.

I don't see this as a win for us Filipinos. Notice how all of these are junkfoods, fast foods, and alcohol. Malnutrition, obesity, and health problems caused by poor diet is a crisis that is rarely talked about here in the Philippines. We are a very poor country. A lot of us can't afford decent food, so many of us buys these instant noodles, these junkfoods because it's the cheapest, but they're unhealthy and have so much preservatives but these mega companies profit a lot because it's what many poor Filipinos can afford. The ones who benefit from these companies' growth are the rich. The ones who profit from the poor. The rich become richer while the poor remains poor. Though corporate expansion is good for the Philippine economy in general, this still isn't a major victory for us Filipinos. Most Filipinos are overworked and underpaid. The income of the elites have been increasing year by year but the average worker have barely increased despite the growing economy. Again, this is not a win for the majority of Filipinos and it's definitely not a win for our health crisis. Until the common Filipino is compensated fairly for their work, given increased salaries, and provided better opportunities instead of being exploited by these mega companies for their cheap labor, I will not see this as a victory for our country. Not by a long shot. What's happening here is capitalism succeeding in exploiting the poor and favoring the rich. Mega companies are great at hiding the fact that they're exploiting Filipinos for cheap labor. DO NOT CELEBRATE THIS.
