Colorization of black and white songs is another area I've dedicated substantial time of around 11 months and a lot of patience. This meticulous process results in vibrant renditions of beloved classics.
Contrary to concerns about reused content, my channel takes great strides to enhance and transform the materials I incorporate.
Presenting one of the most awaited song in color.
It all started almost 16 months ago when in a poll this song got the maximum number of votes for colorization (other songs were Hal kaisa hai janab ka and Aaiye Meherban).
Almost 6054 frames were to be colorized however some of the very similar frames got excluded out and finally 4032 frames selected.
The coloring process was a tricky one especially the scenes with long camera movements and the details of the dull background phir bhi hamne kiya :)
Definitely it is not good as the original black and white version but still it's good.

No she was naturally very fair and had clear skin. I have read a lot about her. There is absolutely no diff in the complexion of her face Vs hands...and whoever has seen her in person said that infact she was much more beautiful in person than on camera
She did wear heavy makeup. It was not upto her. It was a must during filming. Especially back in those days when digital filtration was not available.
Makeup is not just to make you look more beautiful or to cover your flaws. On set makeup is done mostly to highlight / enhance your features. On set, they shoot under strong lights from all sides & under so much lights from every direction, features become blurry. For that reason on set heavy makeup is used. To make the features prominent even under so much lights. Without makeup on, all faces will look similar. A white mass with two black orbs.
Plus this particular song was originally in black and white. It has been colorized recently. In digital software, artists have basically painted the colours on frame by frame. So what you are seeing here is basically a painted version. That's why everything looks so uniform & even.
