  • Sicily's Villa Romana del Casale was the mansion of a wealthy Roman senator who traded in exotic animals. Its mosaics - made of dozens of different kinds of multicolored marble and glass chips - give us a colorful peek at the lifestyle of Rome's elite. I don't watch a lot of Rick anymore but I have watched who knows how many episodes. Many of them multiple times over the years. A lot of the shows he tends to lean a little into the religious side but admits that himself. I myself am not a religious person but Rick still makes great shows that are easy to watch and full of wonderful places and beautiful scenery. And I continue to find myself pulling him up as a good old standby when I want to watch something worldly.

We were there last year, an amazing place and the mosaics WOW highly recommend a visit if you are into history and the area. It was interesting seeing the mosaic ladies sports room had been laced into of an already existing stunning mosaic floor.
