UPDATE: I was just told by ClayRanger143, that it does not work anymore because it was disconnected and we both did not look hard enough.
This siren is part of the Cleveland County Outdoor Warning System, and it is tested on the first Saturday of every month weather permitting at 12:00 pm, and is controlled by the Cleveland County Fire Department and Emergency Management Agency
I decided to take two trips, one to North Carolina and the other to South Carolina. I brought along my mother because I wanted her to see how I catch these siren tests. Also we have met up with ClayRanger143 at Lawndale to record the 2T22. We tried to go to Polkville's Federal Signal 2001-130, but he gave me a call and told me that it got removed. That doesn't stop there, as we were hearing the tones to all of the sirens in Cleveland County, it turns out that this siren that we recorded was a bust. The siren was connected, but it did not tone this siren. So we decided to go to Chesnee, South Carolina next

No It is very common for the controls to not be on the pole. 2T22s,3T22s usually don't have their controls on their poles the same with two of the sth-10s they are sometimes located inside the fire stations in cleveland county. only the eclipse 8s, equinoxes and one sth-10 have their controls on their pole.
