Fantastic! I definitely love my Jupiter X. Good to hear I'm not alone. Looking forward to your MIO XL video.

Love mine, I think the menu diving is more when using Zencore, but that’s because it’s crazy powerful and deep. The models are generally mapped fine.

I'm with you on this one. I own the Juno-X and love it.

I love mine, I do think you need the Roland cloud with the WC-1 To make it shine but it’s like anything if you put the time in you will get the results, glad ur happy with the Jupiter X 😊

Thank you for your input. I’m waiting on sweet water to restock the Jupiter XM.

Hi. I have the Jupiter Xm (a small jupter X) I like that this synth has a rhythm/drum beats/ section with the arpeggio---then I can just jam for fun. Can you recommend other synths that have drum/rhythm sections built in like the X? I'm still shopping for my first full-size synth. :) I might just get the Jupiter X.

Thanks for your honest opinion and for sharing it. I already have an OB6 which I love because of its rich sound (lots of highs and lows), but it only has 6 voices, and sometimes that's not quite enough for some patches with long envelope release. I'm contemplating the Jupiter-X but I'm a bit afraid that it might suffer from what I call the "VA plague" which results in the highest frequency it can generate being around 8 to 10 kilohertz, instead of the 20+ kilohertz that my OB6 can produce with the filter wide opened and just one oscillator with a sawtooth!
In other words: does it sound dull like a Prophet 10 (or Moog One for that matter), or is it brighter than that?
If the Jupiter-X would meet my expectations, it would replace my Prophet REV2 which I don't really like (but not because it's dull sounding, I just don't like the Curtis Filters I guess).
Anyway thanks again for your final thoughts.

Thanks for watching! In my opinion, the Jupiter X is a lot brighter sounding than my prophet 10.

    Another great honest vid.
I also use Studio One after trying everything else. However, whereas I've been lusting after the Jupiter X I'm now looking at the Fantom 07 for half the price. Any thoughts?

Thanks, I’ve never had any experience with the Fantom, but Roland makes dope synths so I imagine you’d be good with either.

Great point about whether it sounds like a Jupiter 8 or not; It’s a Jupiter X with a Jupiter 8 in it, and if the Jupiter X sounds great to you, that’s all that matters! Subscribed!

What are your thoughts about the synth a year later? Are you still rocking with it?

Do you know if you could load the vocal designer expansion that's for the Jupiter's inside the Juno X or the Fantom (flagship) or the Fantom 06?

I have an MC-707 and a MIDI keyboard controller hooked up to it. Jupiter X and the MC-707 both have the ZEN-Core engine. What am I missing if I don't have the Jupiter X?

I cant afford it yet but you just answered my question. I never mastered FL studio or Ableton which is strange cause I do mostly hip hop. I Also like the British 80's synth sound. I haven't found anyone on CZcams with an opinion I can identify with. I'm getting back into music production after 16 years. Most of the reviews on this board are from guys that are quite talented but make music I don't listen to. I know its a player board and that's why I want it. It seems the trend is USB controllers or just the laptop by itself. Where is the fun in that😂😂. Subscribed!!!!

Software is great and can compliment hardware in a variety of set ups. In some cases it can replace the hardware use (not all). BUT, if your a real musician don't throw away the instruments you play. Tuning, Cleaning, Fixing, Playing & "TIME" are all part of the musicianship craft when you become a student and learn to appreciate the core values of making Music. That's unreplaceable. Ain't nothing like the real thang baby ✌️😎 🎵🎶. A true gift from God, Yahweh! Jupiter X sounds and is spot on with JP8! It's a Jupiter and does a bit more! 80"s funk all day. Agree 💯 with review. Customize your own sounds to your own preference. I refuse to pay any subscription online for my sounds, I want my sounds I pay for in my studio & with me at all times.

How is this synth related to synthesis? Does it work as a VA like V-synth or JP8000?

  • @DarrenJohnMusic
    @DarrenJohnMusic Před rokem +1

Great video. I feel the same way about the Jupiter X. I find it much easier to program through the software interface. It sounds huge and it's very versatile compared to modern and vintage analog synths. It might not sound like a real Jupiter 8 but I bet mixed in a song no one could tell the difference. The X is also close to 15 to 20 cheaper. :-)

Merci pour le jugement de ce superbe jupiterX que je possède également. Il vaut vraiment le coup à partir du moment que l'on compris comment il fonctionne et en effet il a des patch modifiables a tout moment . A+

I get it dude, that is the dope thing about music creation it has so many ave's to cruise down. Music Gear is like food man some people will like some stuff some people wont some stuff you know.
Also with the roland cloud i was subscribed and was not happy with the service. I dont like the fact the manager stills runs in the background while not even using anything from roland software wise. Along with not being able to buy the lifetime license without being able to use it not connected to the cloud still. So i'll more then likely just save up for the Jupiter and Juno. I have no true bias....Well unless you're the Akai Timbrewolf then it's getting some side eye.

Man it's this or the Juno x , just not having to worry about vintage synth problems and have that sound, it just makes way too much sense.
