From what I understand both sides get together and plan the show. They are very respectful and do their utmost to show pride in their flag ceremony. The handshake was very important and the crowd cheered happily. This ceremony is a very bright and hopeful event for two countries with nuclear weapons that are still in a war standing.

Indian people are celebrating. I understand their country is flourishing and getting stronger. Our armies killed so many innocent people 25 March 1971 Tikka Khan’s ordered to his soldiers was “ I want the land and not the people” Tikka Khan was ordered to the Operation Searchlight. Thousands were killed in this operation, including academics and other members of civil society, and the country was plunged into a bloody civil war.

This nonsense should be stopped and the troops be returned to do their actual job. Such parades do not dictate the relations between the 2 countries as it is dictated by the political atmosphere and other matters like terrorism etc. This tamasha should stop as it is costing both india and Pakistan lot of money. At 2 to 3 battalions are being wasted and being committed on this tamasha
