Most Expensive Brunch Buffet in LA?!? | The Belvedere @ The Peninsula Beverly Hills

- On our trip to Los Angeles with some good friends, we thoroughly enjoyed visiting the amazing city. All this exploring made us hungry and we were looking for great places to eat. Thankfully Bonnie and a few others from this channel suggested to check out the Worth It videos from BuzzFeed where they visited brunch spots in LA. Specifically their highest tier brunch offering was a Brunch Buffet offered in Beverly Hills at the Belvedere Restaurant in The Peninsula Hotel.
Hopefully our friendship can withstand my request to visit this brunch buffet because this meal was NOT cheap. At $113 for brunch, will this be worth it for us? Well, I intend to find out and have lots of fun doing so.
As it turns out, it was quite the experience; feeling quite out of place at first (as fancy settings are not my norm), the hosts and servers quickly put any discomfort to rest. With welcoming smiles and gracious greetings from start to end, we felt at ease enabling our appetites to shine. We embraced the bounty of fine meats and seafood (all of which are fresh and shelled) and became accustomed to the free flowing champagne post haste and had brunch that was unforgettable.
Certainly not a dinning experience I can go to on a regular basis, but for those special occasions, or better yet, those special friends/friendships, this would definitely be my go to place.

I watched several of your videos and I think it's just a testament to how respectful and nice you are that every server that you come across has the biggest smile on their face. Being in the service industry myself to have someone put that kind of smile on your face it makes your whole day good job man!!!!

It’s Worth It! I visit here for brunch every time I visit Beverly Hills! Try It! Happiness is more important than money.
True but when you can't pay your bills then sadness comes... If youtube revenue pays for the meal, someone else or yourself treats you for special days then yes, be happy without worrying 😜

Tim, what a wonderful experience you and your friends had. You enjoy life while you can. The food, staff and atmosphere are amazing. One additional great thing about the restaurant is no loud music and people noise.
Hi Geraldine, it was such an elegant dining area as well. We were able to sit in the garden as well, but it was a hot day, and I think we all chose the cooler dinning room and the close proximity to the buffet ;-)

For Beverly Hills $88.00 for a brunch buffet is probably reasonable. Lots of foods looked fabulous! Shrimp mmmm! And dessert !
LoL this was one of the more unique experiences. definitely quite fancy and something I'm not very accustomed to, but the servers and hosts were very welcoming though.

The oysters looked so fresh. I loved that they had the shallots vinaigrette to top the oysters. I much prefer that over a typical cocktail sauce. I would have indulge on an entire plate of oysters, and the moved on to the roasted pork :).
That was totally a buffet worthy of Vivaldi! And yeah, I'd basically get the entire dessert spread twice over (minus the coffee mousse, but that's more for you!).

As you know me,I would have gone to the seafood and no farther.I believe those were stone crab claws,due to their size,not snow crab.I definitely would have had one piece of flatbread,but would have added that beautiful smoked Salmon on top. Slightly disappointed no carving station .Not a fan of lamb. Your facial expression when you bit into that waffle was priceless! Nice to see Lois. Thank you always for sharing,you’re so enjoyable. I certainly would say the seafood did shine at the brunch; particularly as it was all fresh and they made it so easy to eat with everything de-shelled. seems too expensive, they didn't even have lobster tails, caviar, or prime rib... the sterling brunch at Bally's in Vegas is about the same price and offers way more food.
Agreed... Sterling is always an over the top experience as it ought to be :-) I did enjoy the Belvedere though, as all dishes were very good...more elegant in some sense. But yeah, both very expensive :-)
Vegas is always the better buffet for the buck but it's a 4 hour drive.. I think going to the Indian casino buffet in California would've been worth it

Vegas-free buffet with every $1000 you gamble.
But you have to go to Vegas haha. I live in LA so this is worth it not having to rent a room or air bnb and no travel.

The best brunch I ever had was in New York city 20 years ago when the plaza hotel Palm court did a buffet brunch and had cavier osetra. They stopped years ago and nothing came close. This looks great

Hello Tim! Another awesome video. That all looked way delicious! You are in my old neck of the woods so to speak... I grew up in and around the LA area (Whittier being the last city before getting stationed in northern Utah). And interestingly those blue dyed glasses on your table are the identical ones I purchased on Amazon a couple years back. While manufactured on a machine the dye on them make them all slightly different. Thanks as always for your fun and entertaining videos and will be looking forward to hopefully seeing more in the near future.

Great video! I had my wedding reception lunch at The Belvedere in June 2019, it was soooo yummy and the staff was great! It was a Friday afternoon and we were pretty much the only ones there. We tried a bunch on the menu. Will have to go back for this brunch once we can do so! And afterwards, we went to the hotel bar for several martinis! Love that hotel!
What what an awesome wedding reception that must have been! Thank you for the reminder, that was the only thing missing in our brunch.. the martinis 😃😃😃

It was one of the fancier places I've been to and I must admit, I felt a bit out of place. But the servers were quite welcoming and felt very comfortable there 🙂

Hey Antony,yeah it's quite an elegant place; and for me, it's Sterling Brunch :-) It's just a bit flashier and gluttonous (in a good way) at the Sterling; while the Belvedere is more refined (which is a bit out of my element) :-)
I've done the Sterling 3 times, too bad it's getting more and more expensive. Will check this place out if I'm ever in LA.

@@TimLeeLetsGo Espetus Brazilian Steakhouse is amazing all the steaks you can handle. They bring it on until you cry uncle! Salad bar and desserts included. If you are ever in the area check it out.

Hey David, this was in Beverly Hills so it's mainly shopping....very very expensive shopping :-) We window shopped a lot, but decided to splurge on this :-)
@@TheJleliot agreed. Beverly Hills is certainly pricey. I recall a salad in one of the fancier places was about $60...certainly not my type of places :-)
