This cage only uses 30 blocks of bedrock, and has a total of 72 break spots (71 if you account for the space needed to shoot snowballs). It's completely relog proof and 100% safe, if you use the setup shown in the video. I tested this for dozens of hours (around 8 IRL hours with x8 accelerated gametime using Cheat Engine), and no skulls ever escaped or broke anything.

Haven't gotten around to using this in farms yet, but I'm happy how this turned out. I really dislike just spamming bedrock everywhere.

Awesome video, helped me understand how to setup a wither cage for my concrete/tree/stone/basalt farms. I spent a hour trying to get the snowball cannon to work before I realized I needed to put the water in first to slow down the snowballs so they hit the wither.lol

I am really trying to get into using wither based farms. I really think this is a good push for me.
On Windows 10 Minecraft Bedrock 1.17.11 I had the following two (solvable) issues:
1) if spawning a whither at the position you indicated, it doesn't go into the cage. After a lot of tests I did manage to spawn it into the cage but only by removing the top block of bedrock that closes the cage and placing it back in before the spawn animation and the spawn explosion were over. This might be slightly risky because if you don't place it fast enough etc., the whither can escape.
2) The whither didn't take damage from snowballs from below (don't know how that ever worked reliably, you can't shoot it from directly below because there is the Bedrock, and shooting to the side of the piece of bedrock misses the wither. Maybe it works if the whither happens to be positioned close to that edge of the bedrock block but... Solution: just shoot it from the side. For most common Farms that is perfectly possible, it is annoying for "quad something" farms where you push in Stone, Concrete or Wood from all four sides but most of the time pushing in from 1 to 3 sides is more than enough.

For me in survival the wither didn't spawn in the chamber. An easy fix is to place the wither one block further away when spawning

I have a question about slime farms for bedrock edition. Do slimes have a spawning block in the 16 block chunk? I know slimes spawn in the layers of the farm, but could we save some blocks and just farm the one spot?

Hey, idk if its just a bug on my realm, but it seems that this design only breaks blocks in the south and east sides of the cage
The wither breaks blocks in a 4x4 area, towards the southeast
(EDIT: Appareantly now the snow ball doesnt drop after you destroy a snow layer with water, so.... yeah, the wither cage still works, but we need another way to get snow balls)
is it possible to make a wither rose farm with this Wither cage? like, ussing (for example) a zombie spawner and leaving them near the wither cage like half a heart or something like that

If you need Wither roses, simply make a 3x3 area, 2 deep. Grab snow blocks, and carved pumpkins and spam a bunch of snow golems into the hole you made. Drop a splash potion of poison on them, then spawn the wither on their head. When the initial spawn explosion happens you'll get a easy couple stack of roses per wither. Only downside is you have to manually kill the wither each time, but that's not so bad
But if you want to make a with cage rose farm, I get it

Nex, is there any way to use this for an obsidian farm. I had to design a whole new bedrock cage because the old one you made no longer works. Now you have to trap the wither in a bedrock in order for it to break the obsidian right above it. This of course suffocates the wither so I had to make a stray farm as well. Just wondering if this is some weird glitch on my side or if you have the same problem.

I meant like which update but I’m assuming you’re on 1.16.100 as it is pretty hard to be on previous updates. To answer your question, you can’t use this for an obsidian farm, because only the blue skulls can break obsidian and this cage is focused on catching the skulls to stop them from flying about.
@@ichorious3461 Oh ok. It just seems that the obsidian needs to be 1 block above the wither, and that you have to trap the wither in the actual bedrock block in order for it to reach the obsidian.

I just built it up again, and it won’t put the wither in the cage. I even tried it in a world that already had it set up, and from the exact same spot as I had used before, and the wither was spawned outside the cage

What you're thinking of is a wither killer. Those escape upon relog because they are suffocating and actually inside bedrock blocks. Here, they won't escape because they're just in a normal block space

I built this in my world, and it was working well but then today when I loaded the chunk by using the nether portal, the wither escaped. Luckly I kept a copy of that world so I'm fine, but I want to know how to prevent it from happening again.

I built this design and it used to work great, but recently I ran it and the slime blocks were missing the snowballs and the snowballs would just continue on straight
There’s a simple way to fix it - move the scaffolding and sticky piston two blocks further away from the dispenser (leave everything else alone, aside from powering the piston)

No it got removed in 1.16.100
It is possible but not on the same way. End portals don't work anymore for gravity block duping. But there is a way to use end gateways to dupe gravity blocks. They are really slow and if gravity block conversion happens, it will corrupt your world so I wouldn't recommend to use it

If you have gateway portals already (from gbc) you can use multiple of them to make gravity block generators more efficient than the old end portal ones
@@grimtermite191 gbc to obtain blocks has been patched but from what I know, as of the current release if a gravity block loses its data, it will corrupt your world. Also, can you tho? Cause the gateways obtained with gbc have no NBT data so stuff cant go through them iirc

For my wither killer the wither will escape almost every time if i die while its suffocating

Tnt doesn't give us 100% drop rate that's why we use these

Guys, for those who are interested, i found a way of damaging the wither with Snowballs pretty easily, i posted on r/Minecraft a few minutes ago.

It works because the snow golem throws snowballs at the zombie, but the string is activated by the snowball and it sends a signal to the piston to shoot the snowball up with the slime block. With the right timing the snow ball is able to touch the wither therefore making him agressive and destroying the blocks around him

Is there a nether star farm possible in bedrock
Yes. People have made beacon farm concepts. More or less you would require a bartering station for the soul sand, a fortress farm or stray farm with charged creepers for the skulls, a gold farm to get ingots (being crafted afk by a player) for the piglin to barter. With the coal you would get from the fortress farm and a gateway based gravity block duper, you can make glass for the beacon while u obtain the obsidian from bartering. You would need to transport the skulls and the soul sand to a wither killer where a player places them AFK and the withers suffocate.
Stray farm/wither skull style farms were patched. Fortress farms are a bit of a grind but still fun to make. Jcplayz is pretty good. Had to modify a few things but it will work as is
So, essentially I have farmed 7+ stacks of Bedrock and do not need most of it now? Neat!?

I just built jc playz wither skull farm and it is pretty good. Had to modify a couple things but it is a fun project

@@esntlaman3433 you probably made a mistake when isolating the spawning block. I made the same mistake when making a witch farm. When doing the glass pane trick to find spots. Make sure you use the block that is to the south east (opposite of stem) of where the mobs spawn. They will spawn on the north west corner so it can be a little confusing when you try and get the right block. It definitely works. I set up a four cell system and all of them get spawns. Also spawn proofing a perimeter and setting simulation distance to 4 chunks will greatly increase your rates.

Half year ago I left it because mojang couldn't fix 2 simple bugs/features.
Opened today, the bugs are still there and they added a new bug which blocks exp through half blocks mid air.

For example minecarts produce sound to infinity vertically. And it's been months since they promised to make UI better, fix the damn auto text mark when opening inventory and so on.

Those are some really minor bugs, does that really justify the term "broken game"? Trust me, it's not the same as 2 years ago. Spend some more time with it before judging it.
