180,000 Bedrock Blocks Removed | Xploit Episode 15

- Today I showcase our process of removing ~180,000 bedrock blocks in the nether, in preparation of our fortress farm perimeter. As for where I got that number: For the nether roof, each xz coordinate uniformly places an amount of bedrock between 1 and 5, giving an average of 3 bedrock per xz coordinate. For the nether floor, each xz coordinate has an amount chosen between 2 and 5 giving an average of 3.5, meaning the average bedrock per xz coordinate is 6.5. With each chunk holding 256 xz spaces and having cleared a full simulation distance 6 area which holds 109 chunks, we end up with 109x256x6.5=181376 bedrock blocks.

Lovely tour of Xploit! Glad that someone found your Horse. At least you knew there was the possibility of you falling and you protected your stuff. That would be a nice addition to Minecraft, somewhere we could stuff XP to keep it safe when we know we are doing the dangerous stuff. Like if we could make XP Bottles. It won't happen, because there has to be some consequences for being dead.

I can understand void clear for slime farm, but why void clear for fortress farm?
Something with the spawning mechanics I assume. I’m not sure but I think it’s something like the game tries to spawn the mobs on the bedrock even though they can’t spawn there, so it makes the rates slower because there is still a “spawning attempt”. So instead of having that spawn attempt, they remove the bedrock so all of the “spawning attempts” happen inside the farm. I think this is why but don’t blame if I’m wrong.
Nether mobs are cave cap so removing the roof will spawn proof the area, but I think they’re just doing it to flex
