You’re so relaxing to watch! Your voice is so soothing! 🩷 I appreciate the background behind a day in the life of a medical coder. I am very interested in pursuing this career, I am just so lost on where to start! I wish one day to be as experienced as you are! You’re so inspiring!
Hey i want to learn coding. What books do u recommend for beginners and where do i register to take the cpc exams when i have learnt how to code? Is coding, self taught?@@jore_mibu
It makes sense to not add the code for the laceration if it wasn’t repaired. Medical coding is interesting when it comes to learning all the “rules”. I don’t add any diagnosis codes in my position. I do add the E&M levels for the ER. I also add the IV meds and any procedures that were done while in the ER. Also, I found a money cheat code for sims 4.. I spent more time than I’d like to admit building my house to look like a place off MTV cribs😂
Right!! So many “rules” in the real world. This employer follows CMS then another employer tells you how they want you to code. The real world is so different than studying for the exam. Really!!!! Every Simmer knows about MOTHERLODE!! 🤣🤣🤣 There’s another one that gives you $1,000 or $10,000 but I don’t use either of them. I have to work for my money 💀🤭. The only cheat I’ll use is to move objects cheat code: bb.moveobjects 🤣 I play on PS5 so the code may be different for you but for the most part Motherlode is a cheat across all systems. I just looked it up. Once the cheats have been enabled you can type in “Money X” X is the amount of money you want.
@@ShamyraC I never knew about motherlode😅😂😂 I’m hesitant with cheat codes because sometimes it takes the fun away in a game, but this new sims couple I just created are about hopeless lol the husband is always late to work and the wife is struggling to get her children’s book approved. I still make them work but it has been so fun getting creative with the building and decorating process. I also play on the ps5 and used that same money cheat haha my struggling couple won the lotto and have $8,000,000 now😂
Oh okay! My family hasn’t won the lottery yet. I figured maybe it’s because they don’t donate to charity or volunteer at the soup kitchen 🤭🤣🤣 Sometimes I’ll have 2-3 books written ahead of time for a gig I want so if one book gets denied a second time. I just sell it to publisher and submit one of the ones from my inventory. Fantasy & Mystery books are Savannah’s go to! Always Bestseller quality lol
Hello new here. Might be a dumb question but are you doing billing and coding here? If so can we choose to just code or do you have to do both? I’m looking into medical coding but I don’t want to do billing. I’m looking into the Coding Clarified program.
I do a mix between the two. The only time I do “billing” related things is if I need to review a claim that was denied and check my coding. Other than that are billing team handles the rest with contacting payors, receiving payments, adjusting claims, etc.
Hi. I work as a Customer Service Representative and I want to get away from having to talk to people and was considering Medical Coding. Do you have to talk to people a lot with Medical coding? If so, how often? I have to talk to people all day with this Customer Service job and I don't like it. I am interested in hearing your thoughts? Thanks

Do you code just from the ICD-10 book ? You don’t use the CPT book at all ?
Depends on what I’m coding. If I know the codes by heart I won’t look them up but if I’m not sure I’ll then use my books. 😊
How do you do this with the standard productivity standard of around one case per 3 minutes? That seems impossible.
Experience. The more you do the quicker you become. ☺️
I’m curious if the change healthcare breech effected your facility from submitting claims? What a pain in the ass it’s been.
I heard about that but we have not been effected.
