It is very difficult not to be cynical.
These characters are so far removed from what it means to work and be snared by a menial job.
Or to have chronic mental/physical health struggles and yet be tangled up in a punitive and shaming welfare system.
Millions of us prop up " their " system - and without us, their wealth would not exist.
For every convenience and luxury, there is often misery and hardship hidden from view.
There are so few characters in parliament I can relate to or trust.
I just see a charade, a theatre, smoke & mirrors - blatant lies and those who literally support murder upon other shores.
The wicked rule this system - they designed it and it seems we plod along in apathy.

It would have been great to witness a person of color, who came from the ground up and nothing but struggles of the common man....instead, it is rather fitting and symbolic to what politics and the elite class of politicians in general are all about in this day and age, that someone like him gets chosen to have that "honor" given his disturbingly lavish lifestyle....I don't see a very bright future for GB truth be told...perhaps the Monarchy should still be a thing, given it'll probably be the only tourist attraction generating any money in the small English island. Its too bad people are too blind to see that the ones who are ravaging Britain of its life are doing so from the inside, sitting at the heart of the country and not "outsiders".

“Much has been written about Rishi Sunak’s “meteoric rise” since his elevation as Chancellor of the Exchequer, but what has not been widely reported is how he benefited from the 2008 financial crash that condemned ordinary Britons to a decade of economic deprivation.
A former investment whizz kid, Sunak was part of a group of hedge fund managers who shared nearly £100m after an audacious stock market bet that triggered the financial crisis, according to The Times newspaper.
He was a partner at the hedge fund TCI when it launched a campaign against the Dutch bank ABN Amro forcing its sale to the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) triggering a chain of events leading to the crash. “His role in TCI between 2006-2009 made him a millionaire in his mid-twenties,” the paper said.”

Why is someone worth £750 million doing a job that pays £150k a year? That’s like someone worth £25k doing a job that pays £5 a year - it’s essentially voluntary work. The only positive motivation would be to recognise your financial privilege and want to dedicate your time to make things better for everyone and the planet; unfortunately, and obviously, that’s not the case. He’s in a position of power where he can make himself, his wife, and his mates even richer at the expense of everyone else, and the planet. I can’t begin to explain the disgust I have for this system.
