This is a Minecraft tutorial on what I think is hands down the best 5x5 piston door EVER! It physically cannot be faster, and it is really compact and easy to build, coming in at only 468 blocks!

this door is great and all... but it doesn't shoot projectiles at me when I go to open it... which is kind of a dealbreaker for me

U should come up with 5 piston extender that goes upwards and is possible to place multiple next to each other
for the button one can we extend the buttons to a few blocks far or up? like should i add more repeaters in between?

Ay just let some people know that with a recent change in 1.18.2 the bottom part of the door is broken when going down (I believe this is because of delay with sand )

My piston door is borken the bottom part dosent go down completely idk if im doing something wrong but for me it does not work
Mine is not working for some reason. Everything works fine except the redstone block gets stuck to the bottom wall part and becomes deviant lol, is there a way to fix this? I've already made this 3 times

This doesn’t work anymore, the bottom doesn’t go down correctly due to sand stuff in 1.18.2, and for me the top doesn’t move period

I followed this step by step but at the end the middle door blocks and slime blocks don't get moved

It took me an hour to debug. Just to find out that it is broken since 1.19. I think it has to do with update order.

Does anyone know a fix for this door in 1.19? I only realized it didn't work after I built the full thing and am too stubborn to take it down.
for some reason my bottom sticky pistons with the 3x3 blocks won't work =\ and i don't know why. I've redone the tutorial like 3x
if you see this message, i fixed part of it by using obsidian as my immovable object instead of the hopper/shulker box/furnace. But when I am opening the door, the 3x3 blocks that are attached to the slime blocks don't fall properly, only the blocks directly touching the slime blocks work

Is there any chance you can help. I feel like i've got everthing right yet it doesnt work. For example, the redstone torch on the right on the bottom activates the pistone moving upwards and the redstone block in the door bugs my pistons out. Any chance i can send screenshots
Rewatch if you need to fix your door. Also, make sure you're building the door ONLY IN JAVA edition
Could someone explain how i can do this but with a keycard system?
All you have to do is build the keycard reader system, then hook that up to a T-flip flop just like a button (button system shown in the video). As long as it outputs a pulse and not a constant signal, you’re all set. Broken in 1.19.2? Built it twice and got the same results each time, doesn't seem to work.
You could make a compact really fast one with a tutorial and I’d make it and I like slime less because it shows you have the guts ,...which you do.
can you make a variant which doesnt require immovable blocks on the side where its just door blocks by adding some slider or something?
Pretty sure it's impossible to make this type of door without immovable blocks. The best solution I can think of is not using slime/honey blocks.
I doubt crafty can make a 0.45o 0.6 seam slimeless 5x5 on his own

My bottom won‘t work 😭
That's a sick door, far beyond anything I could ever do. I never intended to "copy" as people would say, Mumbo designed the door and I never took credit for it. There was no tutorial on it and I decided to make one, I didn't say his name because I was worried people would just hate on me for "copying", I got that regardless.
Sorry someone linked my video and dissed your door. Honey and slime piston doors are simple, really not that attractive either lol
I never thought that video would blow up the way it did, I'm not even that proud of it, that tutorial was bad XD
I'm more proud of my 3x3 vault door, that I desinged.
Lesson learned "never make a tutorial on a door someone else designed, even though I never take credit".

Please could you mark the video as not working in 1.18 and 1.19? I just built it, and after it didn't work I checked the comments to find that everyone else is having the same issue with the sand timing being broken due to the update

I tried to build this but when he updates the sticky piston on the cyan block mine keeps pulling the block back and won’t stay activated like the vid

theoretically, you can actually make a 5 by 5 that opens in 0.45s seemless, so this isn't the best anymore.

I really like the compact and nice design but I like the older one better as you could hide it. And by the way I HATED that the video you had displayed was what I was gonna use till I found yours in which you could conceal everything but I enjoy the Mar 21 lol. So do you think you can combine both? Having it be a hipster door? Or do you think the other would do fine?
