      Exactly, yet nobody seems to pay attention to it. If Madrid lost that shootout, or if city had finished better/made a better final pass, they'd have been calling for Ancelotti's head with the way they played. As it was, they're mostly praising him for "knowing" how to win. They could've so easily have lost that game, not just in extra time or the shootout, but in the 90 minutes. They were comprehensibly outplayed.
      When they missed just TWO chances against City in the first leg, their fans were all saying that they 'let City off the hook', yet when they were completely battered in Manchester, it was a different tune coming from them; they put the win down to courageous defending, when in reality, it was 50% parking the bus, and 50% pure luck that they didn't lose 3 or 4-1.

    I fully understand Cole's decision to leave. Imagine being a player who's fully aware of your potential and know that you are right up there with the rest of the talents in that team but the sad reality is you wouldn't be playing regularly due to other players being more established or proven so to speak. I would leave as well.

      See the sad thing is that the deal made sense. Cole wasen't going to get to play every game for us like he wanted and we got a good deal. Looking back we shouldn't have sold him, our talents are amazing. But, I do think it was a win win. Cole got to play every game and develope the way he see fits and we got good money for him and Bobb, Doku and others looks very good and promising for the future. I wish Cole the best.... Just not tomorrow.

      @laser__unicorn Před 12 dny +2

      @@Herbalattraction3000 I didn't think back then it made sense or it was going to be a good deal and was really hoping they didn't sell him. The games he played in early season and the youth games (if you watched any) showed he was pretty good, he has good vision, he is good at finding spaces to pass in tight areas and has a knack for goals, I absolutely hated when they sold him.
      Now I keep hearing people saying that Boob and Doku look promising for the future, but we had the future right now in the present and sold him away. Look how many minutes Doku got this season where he only had 4 to 5 great performances all season and was mediocre for most of it with his bad crosses, bad passes and low football IQ and still was played ahead of Grealish whos is miles above him, now imagine if these minutes were given to Palmer instead. Apart from buying Gvardiol who is a great player and is starting to fit well into the system, I think this is one of the worse transfer windows I've seen from City in a long time.

    Cole Palmer's situation resembles that of Kevin De Bruyne during his time at Chelsea. Similar to Palmer's predicament at Manchester City before departing, De Bruyne sought assurances of first-team football. However, Mourinho couldn't accommodate his wish due to Chelsea's high-caliber players at the time. As an ambitious young talent aware of his potential, De Bruyne felt he deserved more than a place on the bench and chose to leave. In hindsight, he has undoubtedly become one of the greatest Premier League players. Palmer appears to be on a similar path, and his future looks promising.

      I mean I'm pretty sure pep knows that, but that’s just not how he handles young talent. He doesn't just throw them into the deep end (which does work rarely), he tries to give them a bit more minutes every year until they are reliable and accustomed enough to play in the first team. That's what he did with foden and that’s what he's doing with Lewis and Bobb. Palmer just wasn't patient enough.

      @@imgettingold9407 "Best player in the league" is arguable, but he has definitely played really well. The thing is, he’s playing in an extremely disjointed team that I doubt will achieve much in the near future (they might bounce back but I doubt it), meanwhile had he stayed at City for a year or two he could be a starter for imo the best team in the world (at least top 2-3) and be competing for trophies every year and possibly even be in contention for ballon d’or. Which, unless he does *extremely* well in the euros or WC, won't happen with him playing at a midtable chelsea.
