Hi, stuck at 5:25. It doesn't make my image appear, Instead, it's lines and weird half of what should appear.
Somehow this approach looks better (to me) than tracing with the pen tool.
Yes, Comparing the time spent in tracing, it's a good option.
@@Pixivu More than that, it looks more 'organic'. The pen tool's results typically look so 'artificial' to my eyes.

I am all the way to the point of clicking on the "filter gallery" at the end of part one. However, filter gallery is greyed out for me. What's the trick to select it? I followed everything exactly (except the oil painting portion, because it too, was greyed out.) Help please.

I only have old photoshop CS5 and it doesn't work like that for me, I don't have all the functions 🤷♂
I got the action but when I applied it to the same car image, it seems to have created some sort of abstract looking background behind the car. How do I stop it from doing that?
Just isolate the subject from the background and vectorize the object only

Just skip it as I mentioned in the tutorial @2:51, the tutorial will still give you a good result without the oil paint filter.

@@Pixivu yes brother the issue m facing is every time i smooth image by applying filters and try to run action all the colours smudge together and the result become awful 😢 Tell me what to do???
I cant save as an EPS
Go to File > Save a Copy, then choose EPS.

I already had doubts about legitimacy of this method when it stated that these small detail can be achieved without pen tool, and yet first thing you do is using a pen tool.
Pen Tool here to make a crisp selection around my object, did I use it to draw something? you can use any selection tool like Quick Selection instead!
