From afar, you can tell that the difference is the length. Authentic runs longer.
Go near and you can see that the Logos, Lettering & Numbering are different. Authentic has well-done stitching while Swingman's is heat-press.
When touch and in wear, you can feel there is more breathability in the Authentic and the quality of the material definitely feels prremium.
And when in play, dude, you won't go back to buying Nike Swingman ever again.

They're sizing is pretty similar. Chest is just a little more tapered on the authentic. The authentic always are so limited, so I know the struggle

Accidentally put my swingman jersey in the dryer for the first few times before I realized it’s better to air dry. But I heard since the jersey is 100% polyester, the jersey normally does not shrink. Can’t really tell if the jersey shrank and was wondering if I’m good or not.
I think you'll be alright. Its better to air dry it for longevity purposes. But I don't think (to my knowledge) of it shrinking.

Interesting cause in football jerseys (soccer) it is the other way around....authentic (any brand) will always have everything heat pressed so they can save weight as much as possible and to maximise comfort and the "replicas" will be sewn on for durability cause those will be most likely worn casually and the authentic ones are purely for performance so it's not expected for those to last long

(But S is the one that fits me perfect) You know LaMelo Ball right?😄 Well same body build like him, but maybe a little more skinny. I’m 19, and play basketball, probably I will grow a last inch by the end of the year, so I don’t wanna go bad with my choice in size on authentic jerseys man.😉

BUT, incase you grow or if you build up some height/weight/muscle in the next year, maybe think about a medium. Just a thought. But if smalls perfect, go for it. I'm thinking small/medium, since large is too much in the collar/chest area

This felt like the opposite, all swingman jerseys I own are stitched, thicker and longer, compared to Authentic versions which are heat pressed, lighter in material weight, and shorter in height.

Great video. Simply put, you have to pay too dollar for top quality. Every jersey I’ve ever bought has been at least 150 (and 150 was on sale). My girl recently bought me a custom jersey with my name and number. I have no idea how much she paid but it’s def quality and I got to wear it courtside at a pistons game when they broke the losing streak record 😅😭

I found on Nike that they have a Bucks swingman „Association Edition“ jersey and a „Association Edition 2020“ jersey. Both having different style codes. Where the hell is the difference? I just can‘t figure it out. Did they change anything?

its pretty much the same jersey, just different year runs. In older runs (2020 most likely built in 2019) they have the Nike connect features (discontinued app feature).
The late 2020/21 jerseys change the jocktag look and retail tag placement. But its essentially the same jersey

so unfortunately they released in early 2021 and they are mostly sold out. They have limited amounts of authentic version jerseys and it's hard to find at this time of the year. I feel like the only place you could find them now is by resellers on Ebay and other 3rd party sellers channels

I usually recommend going the same size on it. But if you want it a little loose, go a size up. Their sizing is similar

Basically it goes down to preference. If you want the same on court jerseys, the authentics is the way to go. Stitched and have all the details. If you just want fan friendly price jerseys, the Nike Swingman is the way to go.
it's kinda the opposite of a football/soccer jersey, the more affordable ones, replica is the more durable ones with stitched logo but heavier material. The authentic one is less durable with the logos only being heat pressed and sometimes the logos on the kit that player used on the pitch came off during a game and you can see some player in the pitch using a kit that have no logos on it

i think it depends. Authentics will have a little more value but some swingman runs are gonna be limited (city edition ect). Like I was able to sell the Phoneix Suns Valley swingman for 2.5X retail. So it just depends on the jersey

Funny how with NBA jerseys the heat pressed is always the swingman yet on Soccer jerseys the swingman equivalent (supporters) is stitch and the on-field (authentic) are all heat pressed.

So depending on the jersey (year it was built) it had different materials. The Aeroswift Materials were used for Nike Authentics from 2017-2019. They switched over in late 2019-2020 to Vaporknit

if its your favorite player. I'd save for an authentic. If you get them from the Raptors team store, it'll come with the sponsor patch. The big retailers dont have the patches, so it'll come as is.

They actually do wear the stitched versions on court. If you check out game used/game worn jerseys, it's the authentic versions.

Nah a swingman is basically the most basic NBA jersey Nike makes. The fakes are made differently and not made by Nike's factories. The fakes will illegally use Nike's logo to make it look like they made it
