FAST is better than LUMS for CS in terms of skills
IBA is better or comparable to LUMS in term of Business studies.
But yes LUMS is overall the best university.

​@@AhsanZafar According to stats, LUMS CS grads are much more successful worldwide. Most of them get fully funded master's degrees at top US universities like CMU, MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, and many more. The grads are placed in tech giants like Apple, Meta, Amazon, Qualcomm, and many more worldwide. As for the local market, LUMS CS grads are sorted first before other universities. Not to mention that LUMS faculty is world-class; I haven't seen another university with such a highly qualified faculty. Most of them have PhDs from Ivy League and other top schools worldwide. At other universities, some of the instructors are good and some are not, like here at NUST in the EE department; some professors are highly qualified and have good teaching, while the rest of them aren't so good.
As far as skills are concerned, that's something you can learn on your own. Like my little brother, who started coding when he was in O levels and later became a web developer in his A levels. So, you don't need a university to learn skills, but what makes the university compulsory is the exposure and valuable networking opportunities it provides.
As for IBA, no doubt it's a good institution and has a strong alumni network as well. However, LUMS doesn't offer BBA; the only two business streams offered are ACF and management sciences. LUMS is widely known for its renowned business school, not just in Pakistan but abroad as well, making it the only AACSB accreditation. For MBA, LUMS is definitely on top, not just in Pakistan, but it's ranked in the top 34 according to QS MBA rankings. So, LUMS definitely tops in this category too. (And I forgot to mention that LUMS is number 1 in CS and number 6 in Asia in computer systems.)
