- Easily and inexpensively fix your computer audio if you have background buzz, hum or hiss. A common source of this issue is caused by how equipment grounds are connected between your computer and your audio equipment. You can solve it with an inexpensive adapter.

I've always been a huge fan of isolation transformers. Very good advice for anyone else who might be having these issues. Great videos and great job making them! Thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge in so many different fields of audio. 🎉
Awesome, thank you!
Thank you Barry! Very informative!
I have a pair of Yamaha MS101(powered studio monitors) bought over 35 years ago(!!!!) They were buzzing in the last few years intermitently. So I thought, well they're just old. Turns out, when my iphone is about 1 foot near them, they pickup the whatever invisible gremlins the iphone emmits! And this happens only 80% of the time.
Yeah, phones emit plenty of RF. Keep them away from sensitive audio equipment.
@@Barry-Watson And to think I almost chuck out those (indestructible) 35 yo speakers!!!
I know. I gave away a set of really clean JBL 4311B monitors because I thought they sounded awful, and they did, but now I kinda wish I held onto them as a piece of history. Time, and life moves on.
@@Barry-Watson Don’t even get me started!!! Hahaha… you know the song “To all the girls I’ve loved before”? Just replace the “girls” withe the “gears”!!
Hi, thanks. What is your recommendation about teh product (name). 👍👋
Here is the product that I am using to isolate the equipment:

Can you not just cut the ground out from the cable itself?
Thanks! The signal does require a ground path, Sometimes when hooking up a bunch of equipment there are multiple pathways to ground, some may not be obvious. In these circumstances sometimes you get better results by removing one of those pathways to ground.
Oftentimes the solution is to provide a better path to ground for example running a wire between all of the chassis of equipment. Ideally you have a star approach where one piece of equipment is dedicated as the ground source and it has a separate wire that goes out to each of the other pieces of equipment that are connected to it. Resolving low level hum can sometimes be an adventure and there isn't one easy answer that will work in every circumstance.
@Barry-Watson thanks for reply, I have a load of spare cable so I will have a play around tomorrow....earn a sub dude 👊
