      Size does matter, but the most important detail is that you have a truck. GL on your journey

    Hey man just a little tip it’s not a good practice to use your liftgate as a bridge like that.
    Just lower your gate all the way down and use the dock plate that’s attached to the dock.

    Nice headset, got the same one. Just had to send it in for warranty work. #ShokzGang

      @@Milesinabox Imagine that, California, it's a shame that we must resort to a camera lifestyle but on my semi, I have a 360° recording system with hi-definition just for this kind of nonsense. If these punks had to pay to have this crap removed or repainted, I'm thinking tagging wouldn't look so fun. I started out years ago with Try Hours Expedited out of the Maumee Ohio area, wasn't a bad company until rates dropped, I had a International 26' box truck then I wound up getting into a W-900L pulling 53's now I'm in eastern Washington State hauling wheat and other commodities in my 379EH Peterbilt tandem with a pull pup grain wagon, I wish you the best as things are bad but if you can weather the storm, things will start looking up for all of us out here.

    what if you got 12 pallets?

    • @Milesinabox
      @Milesinabox  Před rokem +4

      Most of the time, the pallets are not full, so I tend to stack them together if I can or break down the pallets and create one that can fit the truck. This has happened to me once and that’s the solution I was able to work around. The truck does fit 10 pallets easy.

      @@Milesinaboxso do you can book the 26' box loads with Amazon with your truck? And do you have any problems with booking because of the size of your truck?
      Thanks.

    Hey I have a 20 ft box truck do you think I can run loads for Amazon relay all I’m seeing is 26ft will I be able to carry loads

    • @Milesinabox
      @Milesinabox  Před rokem +1

      Hello, You sure can. as long as you are dock high, and are able to repack pallets if need be then you should be able to. You are in-charge of your truck and how you load it so it will be your responsibility to make sure you can fit 12 pallets. a 20 ft can fit 10.

      @@Milesinabox All I have read about Amazon is that you have to have a 26ft box truck. So , did you have to lie on the application? You said about breaking down the pallets and combining them so you can fit everything. I’m surprised the dock people. Would let you take the time to do that! Are you loading the truck yourself instead of them loading by forklift? Sorry for the questions but I wanted to use a 20ft and assumed I couldn’t because Amazon site says 28ft

    • @Milesinabox
      @Milesinabox  Před rokem +3

      @@johnt9278 hello, there, i have 2 trucks a 20ft, and a 26ft. when i first signed up for amazon relay last year, i had a 26ft only so i did not have to lie on the application. To answer the second question, i would suggest watching the other videos and see how many pallets most load i pick up have. it will give you a idea of how the loads look. Also, amazon does not load your truck, you load for yourself.
      Also, on amazon loadboard, they do have loads for 16ft trucks as well, and i have seen several 16ft truck at amazon picking up load. check your area and find if they loads for 16ft.

      @laron9817 Před 10 měsíci

      @@HrLBolle that's right. I know a couple of forklift drivers that wished their facility had them on their docks. I've seen drivers hook up to their trailer in the dock and immediately pull the trailer away from the dock while a forklift operator was going in and coming out of the trailer. Fortunately, no one was hurt but some strong words shared with the driver.
